I have no clue where to begin here. Maybe with the original story. Beauty and the Beast. Watch Disney's classic if you don't want to read the book, but I wouldn't suggest this movie. Unless you are a teenage girl who likes romantic movies filled with clichés. There is nothing wrong with that of course. But if you are not, do yourself a favor and just don't watch this abomination (pun intended).
You won't find beauty in here (except superficial beauty = beautiful actors). It is so cliché ridden and ridiculous it defies anything. It is as believable as Gargamel trying to convince a smurf that he won't hurt him. There is not much to act upon here, but even the few sincere moments get beaten with a stick. You get the message hammered home during the first minutes of the movie. In other words, there is no real highlight here (unless you count the makeup effects). This was a waste of time and a very bad effort to bring a classic story into the modern world ...
