I just watched the movie in 3D. It is just all over the place. It provides poor character development, lacks a plot one can relate to and as if that were not enough it unfortunately neither delivers great fight scenes.
I can live with the acting of Mickey Rourke as the main villain which is pretty decent and even with the acting of the main character playing Theseus but the rest of the cast does not offer anything special. I think the wrong guy has been chosen to play Zeus. With this I do not mean that Luke Evans isn't a good actor but he simply does not fit my notion of an wise, white bearded Zeus. I confess in this regard I am having difficulties thinking out of the box.
Based on the trailer I guess my expectations were just too high, so I got disappointed. I am totally into Greek mythology themed movies which is why I still got some decent entertainment from it. This is the reason why I still manage to give it a decent rating.
