You Again (2010)
6/10
It's a big cliché, but it worked for me.

Warning: Spoilers
I like Kristen Bell. I like her a lot. I never got into the whole Veronica Mars thing, but I enjoyed her in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and since then she's starred in a couple of films, such as When in Rome and Couples retreat, that didn't work. She was enjoyable and cute, but the movies just weren't.

I watched You again on Starz the other day, knowing what was in store for me. Some critics, such as Richard Roeper, called it" The worst film of 2010", and to be honest, I couldn't find that further from the truth. He obviously didn't see The Last Airbender.

Bell plays Marnie Olivia Olsen(a.k.a. MOO). As a teen, she was bullied by probably the hottest and most popular girl in her grade(Odette Yustman). Like, its sad to see how cruel this girl was. But years go on, and Marnie has gone from a nerdy girl to a successful attractive woman. Her brother is getting married, but Marnie doesn't realize who that is until the plane ride. Her future sister -in-law is her old bully.

The film is basically a weekend of the past catching up. Marnie meets her old nemesis, Marnie's mom(Jamie Lee Curtis) sees her old nemesis(Sigourney Weaver), who is the bully's aunt, and even Marnie's grandmother(Betty White) has a run in too.

Okay, so You again is a bit of a cliché. The plot most likely wouldn't happen in real life. But what works about You again is the way that the cast interacts with each other. Its kind of fun to imagine some of these people in an actual rivalry. I'm ashamed to say it, but, even though I know there's a bad movie in there somewhere, I couldn't find it.
