A Man Called...Rainbo takes an early Sylvester Stallone film and dubs in very lame humor as a result
2 July 2011
Just finished watching on YouTube A Man Called...Rainbo which took the early pre-Rocky Sylvester Stallone movie No Place to Hide, or the alternate title Rebel that I found on VHS, inserted some extraneous scenes, and dubbed a new script which attempts to add humor of the mostly poop kind. The results were, in a word, lame to the point I got quickly bored and kept hoping it to end. And having a voice-over impersonation of Richard Nixon with the actor's head to the back of us was another bit that got old real quick. In fact, I was only amused at the part where someone ordered a doughboy and we see the Pilsbury Doughboy get microwaved to death! Oh, and also his credit at the end as being played by Popping' Fresh! Okay, I'll just now say if you're curious enough, A Man Called...Rainbo is worth a look but that's it.
