A rowdy road-trip coming of middle age salvation story.
18 April 2011
I saw this adorable film at Canadian Music Week in Toronto at the lovely Tiff Bell Lightbox. It was 30 degrees and snowing but in minutes I was basking in the Banning California sun, jumpin' in a 70's RV to take a road-trip with the two most lovable and funny characters I've seen since Harry and Loyd in Dumb & Dumber. This film is a great indy comedy. The thing I was not expecting was the music. This soundtrack is incredible. After the film ended, one of the writers and stars of the film get's up at the Q & A and has us in stitches again. These guys are on to something with their comedy. We ask in the Q & A about a song we loved in the film called "I Wouldn't Go Outside IF I Were You." The co-writer / co-lead actor tells us that he and one of the other leads wrote it as well. I sure hope this great film makes it to theaters everywhere. A studio needs to buy this film and put out that soundtrack for sure. Thanks P & G. Toronto will miss you!
