Warning: Spoilers
"Scotched in Scotland" is a highly delightful Three Stooges comedy in which Moe, Larry, and Shemp just barely graduate from detective school and travel to Scotland, all decked out in the appropriate wardrobe, to solve a case in a haunted old castle.

My favorite scenes in "Scotched in Scotland" are: Shemp letting out a yell upon discovering that the man sharing the bed with him is not Larry, then rushing to the door and getting beaned in the noggin with a bowling ball; Moe dodging a flying parrot inside a skull; the Stooges harmonizing "Hello-hello-hello" in the dean's office; the climactic bedroom brawl in which the action is sped up; Shemp remarking, "Hi, Lorna. How you Doone?"; an antique treasure thief accidentally sticking a knife in Lorna's butt, with a nice BOING sound effect; and Larry in bed saying, "Hey, fellas, cut out the racket, will you, please?" and then letting out a yell upon discovering his intruder.

"Scotched in Scotland" is a remake, with ample stock footage, of another Stooge comedy called "The Hot Scots" (1948). It seems to me that most Stooge fans care very little for the cheap remakes that the boys were filming in the mid-1950s, but I actually like "Scotched in Scotland" better than the original "Hot Scots".
