"The Cell 2" had a lot of potential. It's a follow-up to a modern cult classic.
The plot sounds very interesting. I mean, it deals with a special FBI unit that is after a dangerous serial killer. This special unit applies supernatural elements to discover what the killer is thinking and what's going to be his next move.
Well, it soon gets dull and predictable. You will know who the real villain is without a single problem.
The gore is not so bad and the torture instruments are just okay. It was very inspired by the "Saw" movies but without the necessary punch.
Everything solves in the classic cat and mouse chase and then the result is a mediocre direct to video effort. I would only recommend it for those of b-movie hunger that enjoy cops with supernatural strategies. Otherwise, skip it! Tess Santiago has a golden ass. That should be a positive thing about this movie.
