Review of Ondine

Ondine (2009)
7/10
splendid Irish modern fairytale
6 June 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Colin Farrell has given us an array of varied performances recently all top quality his romantic fisherman-mermaid love story here is poignant and immensely enjoyable. this is a very pleasant film indeed AND you should enjoy it for what it is. if there is any moral overtone in this movie, it is perhaps why the girl is in Irish waters at all as an eastern European refugee and seeking marriage to gain Irish nationality but the film is not about that in essence and there is amazing filming which will enthuse you to visit Ireland for sure. everything in good taste and don't miss this movie. the movie is refreshing and easy going, a role well suitable to the humble mr Farrell
