Tuno negro (2001)
5/10
Atmospheric but not good enough.

Warning: Spoilers
I love Spanish Horror. I watched "Tuno Negro" for the first time in 2002 and I remembered it (as of 2010) as a mediocre slasher that has only a few good things.

For instance, the atmosphere is solid. The settings are great. Salamanca never felt that threatening and dark. The cinematography and art direction deserve kudos.

The problem is the lousy plot that deals with a Spanish tradition that goes wrong on a specific day because a killer on the loose decides to well, kill young people.

The acting is mediocre and so does the pace. The gore is only decent but not enough to keep you interested on it.

I'd only recommend it for those who can take anything from the slasher sub-genre. Otherwise, skip it.
