I saw this movie and wondered such a perfection & grace can not be found so easily.. No doubt it is One of the milestone to Indian Cinema gifted by Satyajit Ray. During this movie we actually fallen in to the 19th Century.. Expected performances from Sanjeev Kumar, Saeed Jafery and Shabana Azmi but I wonder to see the expressions of Amzad Khan... It shows the Hard and perfect work of actor and director both. And how can we forget two actors Farida Jalal and Farooq Shaikh in Negative but realistic roles. Again a course of perfection in the story line. and why not when this story has been written by the finest writer of Hindi Literature - Shri Munshi Premchand. But afcourse Satyajit Ray has given it a shape and molded it very perfectly by his perfect Direction and Dialogue writing... Indeed it's a great pleasure to see such a relic from these Great people..
