On the final solo, the soloist's voice is processed with Auto-tune, strongly applied so that her voice snaps unnaturally from note to note. It doesn't sound right, and is certainly inappropriate for a show that purports to be about talented high schoolers. If anyone could find a way to use it in competition (not likely), they'd be immediately disqualified. And, when I hear a professional doing it, it sounds artificial (I'm sure it's supposed to), and gets tiresome well before the tenth time I hear the song playing on the radio or retail background music.
