I always try to be honest in reviewing films,
This nicely made 'lil' film is about on line users,'web cam' users and Virtual computer technology.
I do not understand this technology,however it is interesting and there are many film buffs into the various uses of the internet.
The only reason I had this on my queue are the 2 stars. Josh Hamiltion and Harold Perrineau, Josh is a very appealing actor & I have been a fan of Harold's work since OZ. this man is a fantastically good actor.
They both do well here.
The film was capably directed by Jeb Weintrub,he also co-wrote the script with Andrew Osbourne
The story will appeal to computer and 'web cam' people more than I. Frankly, it bored me,mainly because the hand held camera work was annoying to me.
ON LINE opened at Sundance in 2002, it did have a 6 month run in 2003, playing in no more than 7 theatres, the first week, The last weeks only in one theatre.
There is a fair amount of nudity and other types of porn.
