The Man in a Looking Glass (1965 TV Movie)
A pretty good surprise

Warning: Spoilers
I am a great heist movie lover. And this one is a very good one. A rare gem, made for TV. I had never heard of it. This film was directed by Cyril Frankel, who already gave us TRYGON FACTOR, a heist movie too, made with the same pace. When you have seen both, you can confound them.

It tells the story of a security man who is kidnapped, in England, in the country side no far from London, in order to be replaced by a another man with his very face, after plastic surgery. A dead ringer. In what purpose? We don't know yet. Suspense...

But our hero kills his "replicant", in hide of the kidnappers of course, and then takes his place. The kidnappers believe the dead ringer is still their man...

Follow me ?

All the good suspense of the film is built around that intrigue.

We have already seen that kind of topic; with the old friends of the dead dead ringer, friends who had known "old" habits of the dead, habits that the imposter - the good guy of the film - doesn't have...

Still following me ?

I won't tell you anything about the caper.

Surprise surprise...

But it's worth something. I promise.
