Review of Amyna zonis

Greek TV series based on a novel by Petros Markaris Amyna Zonis ( Zone Defence) authors 2nd book published in 1998. Officer Charitos (Minas Hatzisavvas)during his recovery from a heart attack narrates to his doctor and another patient (Markos Lezes), the story of a series of murders which he was called to solve and that put him against the world of political and modern Athens mafia crime... During his vacation in an Aegean island ( i guess it is Serifos) officer Charitos witnesses the discovery of a dead body. as he returns in Athens searching details for the murder his superior gives him another case regarding the death of night-clubs owner Koustas ( Antonis Kafetzopoulos)That implicates him in a the world of organized crime , football setups, fixed polls for politicians ... He tries to find his way out by investigating even against the political authorities . A really nice crime series from Greece... not all actors are great but you may get easily get the idea of how Greeks think and ... 'work'.... the characters evolve as episodes go ahead ... noir style in color.... i really liked it!!!
