9/10
Amazing...but slightly flawed (a 9.5)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was amazing, and everything that the director included was done exactly how I wanted it to be done. However, it's what they cut out that detracts from my rating. Three of my favorite scenes from the book were cut (Umbridge in McGonagall's Class, Rita Skeeter's interview (cutting out Miranda Richarson should be a crime), and Umbridge trying to sack Hagrid), and they limited the "War on Umbridge" at Hogwarts. Not only that, this was the shortest film so far. If it had been the longest (or they included those scenes), I'm sure my rating would be a perfect ten.

Aside from that, however, it was an absolutely fantastic movie. Imelda Staunton was perfect for the part of Dolores Jane Umbridge, and Helena Bonham Carter's Bella (Bellatrix Lestrange) was also superb. I particularly enjoyed her cackling at the battle. Evanny Lynch was also a wonderful addition to the cast as the quirky (Loony) Luna Lovegood. The previous actors also continued to show their excellence, and they display a lot of talent.

Of particular note was the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, which was one of the most exciting scenes the movie has to offer. I especially liked that the black clouds surrounding the Death Eaters made them look almost demonic, while the white clouds made to Order members look angelic. Other amusing aspects include the increase in the number of Education Decrees, and D.A. lessons, Dumbledore's escape, and the dialogue in general (especially Luna, Umbridge, Bella, and the interactions between Ron and Hermione).
