Review of Elipsis

Elipsis (2006)
8/10
A bleak but challenging film
5 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the best Venezuelan movies of all times. The film shows the story of two successful young artists, Sebastian (Edgar Ramirez) and Gaul (Erich Wildpret). They are very good friends.

Later they are falling in problems with drugs. Things are getting worse and complicated. The film has an unexpected end.

In addition, everything is narrated of a fragmented way. This non-common style usually surprises the spectator with each scene.

The film boasts an unforgettable opening when the police try to rescue a hostage and they kill the victim thinking that he was the thief.

Overall this is a kind of bleak but challenging film
