17 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
The female high school cheerleader lets someone else in her squad take the credit for the fireman's rescue, after the last episode ended with the politician rescuing his brother from falling by flying, we find out that their father committed suicide because he was clinically depressed, the scientist's son from India gets saved from an intruder by a young woman who knew his late father as they search the father's apartment for what he was researching, the stripper from Las Vegas discovers dead bodies in her car trunk and realizes what her mirror reflection is capable of, and Hiro, from Japan, has teleported to New York City where he buys a comic book that depicts everything he's gone through so far and searches for the artist's apartment where he finds him dead and gets arrested where he finds from a newspaper that he's also traveled five weeks later! In addition, we meet Matt (Greg Grunberg), a police officer who can read minds. This second episode of Heroes moves the story along smoothly as we find more of what the potential special-powered beings are capable of. Grunberg makes a nice addition to the saga and the cheerleader's father has creepiness in spades as we find him looking at his daughter's stolen tape that depicts her powers. Heroes already has a full-season order having become NBC's biggest new hit of the season so we'll definitely see more of them as the adventure continues on!
