Short Heart

In a Mexican rural environment Julio Bracho developed the novel of the Italian D'amicis and considered in the neat presence of Lopez Tarso as the perfect school teacher, the conscience of every student, the novel seems to be very large for a Mexican movie at the sixties, that's way sometimes someone could have the impression that Bracho intended to tell many stories in a very short time, situation that doesn't help at all to the film, however the movie is not boring, but appears to be that with this director and a good adaptation of the novel we could hope something better, maybe the most rewarding thing in the film are some views of the Mexico city in the sixties,a curios detail: the children singing at chorus the Emilio de Urang song La Negra Noche without being this and infantile song years later another children sing the same song with Cantinflas in El Profe a movie with a similar topic.
