These reviews are much better than the film.

I set up an account with IMDb just so I could add my 2-cents--which is what this movie was made for (budget-wise), and thankfully is just about all I spent to see it.

These reviews were MUCH more entertaining than the movie.

From the first minute, all the way to the end-credits, it was quite similar to watching a real-life disaster unfold. I was mortified. Where were the epic moments? Where were the exploding ships? Where were the sets? Where did all the decent actors go? At that point, my head exploded (about 30 minutes into the film). I wish my head HAD exploded. That would have been better than watching this train-wreck.

In these reviews, I kept reading about "low" budgets, etc. A lack of budget is just no excuse for making crap. As a designer and film-maker myself (I mostly shoot documentary and corporate work), I take great joy in producing work that goes beyond budget limits. I produce work that I can show my kids and be proud of. Too bad the makers of ST2 did not share that philosophy.

Bottom line--DON'T waste your time with ST2. It's clear the makers of the film didn't waste much time making it, so you shouldn't waste time watching it either.

ST2 is just another piece of junk taking up retail shelf space. Ugh.
