I was a little concerned about this movie, because the treatment you can give to a legend. I have to admit I just loved it from the beginning to the end. I enjoyed the music (which is real recordings from Camaron, Tomatito and Lucia). It tells the human side of a great legend of the Flamenco. I just only regret I couldn't see it on the big screen. The actors are very well characterized and the resemblance with the real Camaron and Paco de Lucia is just amazing. I wonder how many tapes did he watch to learn all the movements and expressions. I think is just a great job. I have to say it doesn't tell you any chronography. No dates and no places at all. In that aspect is very vague. You can tell is not back to "La Isla" (San Fenando, Cadiz), because he calls his Mom and he is living in a Pension (small hostel). Didn't know he had a paya (non gypsy) girlfriend for a while. It's a must see movie, if you want to know a big part of Flamenco History. I just can't wait for the next flamenco movie, and I hope they do a good job, and treat the other legend (Lola Flores, Jerez, 1923-Madrid 1995) with the same respect they treated Camaron.
