"My Best Friend is a Vampire" is a good movie. A different spin on vampires than say "Buffy"-which I also like.

The parallels with gay people are obvious. Just like there are bad vampires, there are bad gay people. Jeremys' parents, quite reasonably, think he is gay. They do not turn on him. They may not be that pleased about it, but they accept what they see as their son being. They are more than pleased when Jeremy introduces his new girlfriend. Maybe they think he tried one path, now is trying another, but it's quite clear he is their son, no matter what.
One thing. I'm certain they are convinced Jeremy is having sex with Modoc. I think most parents would, even if they accept that their child is gay, have problems with him or her getting on with an older adult.
