The Brooke Ellison Story (2004 TV Movie)
9/10
a beautiful and inspiring film
4 July 2005
The movie is based on the book "Miracles Happen: One Mother, One Daughter, One Journey," by Brooke Ellison and her mother, Jean Ellison. A moving film which is inspiring and ennobling.

The film is about the Ellisons, an average American family which takes extraordinary steps to overcome their daughters disability, without knowing their actions would one day be worthy of film material. Very respectful and honest story telling.

The movies shows you that every person has a choice - they can either blame their circumstances and wallow in mediocrity or have a positive attitude and contribute to society.

Christopher Reeve does an excellent job at directing this movie and so does the rest of the acting staff. Both Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio playing the mother and up and coming John Slattery playing the father were a true delight to watch.

This movie is a must!
