The Connection (1973 TV Movie)
7/10
Enjoyable TV Movie
29 June 2005
"The Connection" is a fun TV movie. The plot is about a newspaper man (Charles Durning) who has to become a fence for a jewel thief. This movie has everything: Good acting, writing, and direction. Charles Durning is always great.

There are some mild slow moments but it picks up in the end with a exciting car chase and plot twists galore.

For a 70's TV movie it stands up well.

Other first-rate movies with Charles Durning are: "Lakeboat", "The Water Engine", "True Confessions", and "Cat Chaser". He never gets the respect he deserves. He should have all the Emmys and Academy Awards he was nominated for.
