This movie basically seemed to me like a bad attempt to copy American action movies. I generally don't like those movies and not knowing what I was getting to see I was hoping to see a real Indian movie. Instead it was this weird cultural-crash-movie. But that's not the reason I didn't like Dhoom.
It's because the whole movie is so bad it's laughable. The dialogs are tacky ("Thank you mummy. Yes very okay very okay", etc), the story is predictable and boring, the actors are extremely bad and the cutting and special effects (or whatever you want to call it) are simple and pretentious. They have tried to make it "cool" but they fail so much it's almost as sad and funny as watching Jackie Chan in City Hunter.
