This time, Ringo and his aunt are on a bus arguing about one thing or another. John, Paul and George play various other roles. All four of them appear as magicians who play bizarre tricks on the numerous characters throughout the film.
Overall, "Magical Mystery Tour" seems a little nonsensical. But it also affirms that the Beatles were moving away from the kind of music that they did from about 1962-66, and into the more surreal sound of their later years. Their song "Flying" almost doesn't sound like something that you would usually expect from the Beatles.
Just one more thing. In "Magical Mystery Tour", John sings: "I am the walrus". Then on The White Album, in the song "Looking Through a Glass Onion", one of the lines is: "Here's another clue for you all/The walrus was Paul". So who was the walrus?
