A film based on a comic book which was based on a film. This modern version of Fritz Lang's 1927 classic owes alot to the original in its visual design, remaining true to the original in its visual feel. The plot has some differences to the original, in this version Metropolis is populated with many robots, as opposed to the original which had only one robot. Unfortunately, i felt that the animation while very good didn't suit the storyline, it was too cheerful & colourful when it could have been a bit darker. Overall worth checking out & worth comparing the version with the original. They have a lot in common, but also have many differences
