Review of Chispita

Chispita (1982–1983)
Going about different lives in the same place....

Having watched this Spanish-speaking show many years ago back in the late 80s and into the early 90s on a local Mexican-Spanish TV channel, I can say this is a sweet, heart-filled, and sad soap. It starred the now-famous Mexican singer Lucero among the other adults. It's been a while since I've seen this show, but from what I remember, it began as a mother and daughter Chispita (Lucero) getting into a car accident. Fortunately, they survived but with mental damage being loss of long-term memory. Mother nor daughter have any recollection they are related to each other. Therefore, Chispita attends a private school where her very own mother works in. It's very sad knowing they know each other but don't remember they're related to each other. They are both aware they want to search for each other, but they don't know they are around each other. I don't remember how the series ends, but I think I will do some online investigation. Maybe this show will air reruns again because I would like to see it all over again. It's very warm and light-hearted. Being that this show is only available in the Spanish language, you must have the Spanish-speaking knowledge of the language to be able to watch this. Great show!
