Review of George B.

George B. (1997)
10/10
A touching film
2 February 1999
I feel very lucky to be among the few and the proud to have seen the movie "George B." I obtained a "special screening copy" through the fellow who plays "Eddie" , and after I got over the white "for screening purposes only" words that kept appearing on the bottom, and got into the film, I was in for a treat. For one thing, David Morse, as the simple-minded George, and Nina Siemaszko as the deceptive Angela, give what are probably the best performances of both of their careers, and they are given a great story to work with--the story of an ordinary man just trying to "get lucky" and have some happiness in his life, though he runs into some minor obstacles along the way. It may not sound like much, but believe me, if you find "George", you will love it.
