2 Thumbs Up - "Vvvvvvhhhh!"

My father was a great fan of the Hudson Brothers, 3 brothers who had a short-lived television show in the '70s. Granted, this isn't a cinematic masterpiece, but it will always have a special place in my heart! The movie is filled with gratuitous parodies of suspense films such as Jaws, The Shining, and The Exorcist. The comedy spans the gambit of subtle wit, running gags, and blatant toilet humor. But what I love most about this movie are the many catch phrases and memorable quotes that abound throughout the film: All victims of Captain Howdy's killing spree become zombies wearing turtle necks and only say "What difference does it make?"; the black librarian informing our heros of the library policy "It's closing time, gentlemen... all white people must leave."; and there's the town lunatic, Ralph, with the unforgettable... "You're DOOMED!". Of course, to those of you who never seen this movie, this all makes little to no sense. But I assure you that if you're a fan of the Zucker brothers movies (Airplane, Naked Gun), Mel Brooks, or the Hudson bros themselves, you will appreciate this comic gem of a flick as much as I. Oh, and look out for the brief, yet hilarious cameo by John Larroquette! Vvvvvvvhhhhhh!
