Michelle Obama is attending her 14th White House State state dinner — her last as first lady — and you can bet she's making it one to remember in fashion history. On Tuesday night Michelle stepped out in a copper colored, chain mail Versace gown. Her husband, President Barack Obama, didn't look too shabby himself. Earlier in the afternoon, the Flotus opted for a fit and flare dress by Italian designer Giambattista Valli. {"width":928,"height":1298,"extension":"jpg","file_size":445595,"mime_type":"image\/jpeg","type":"image","path":"sites\/default\/files\/2016\/10\/michele_obama_host_state_dinner_for_italian_pm_renzi_-_emebed_-_2016.jpg","orientation":"portrait","id":939579,"credit":"Mark Wilson\/Getty Images","caption":"Agnese Landini, wife of Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, and Michelle Obama (in

The world is full of all sorts of weird, wonderful unexplained phenomena. We know the universe is made of dark matter, but what exactly is dark matter? Is there only one type of Higgs boson, that fancy molecule the Large Hardon Collider was searching for? Why does Pitbull have a career? All questions that keep some of the world’s leading minds awake at night, true mysteries of our existence.
That’s opposed to the “unexplained” phenomena that, in most cases, do actually have a rational explanation. Sure, there’s evidence that ghosts and aliens and all sorts of supernatural stuff might exist, but there’s also plenty of evidence to suggest that certain people might do well to maintain some scepticism about such things.

Can you believe it's been 10 years since the first "Saw" hit theaters?! To celebrate the milestone anniversary of one of the highest grossing horror flicks of all-time, we wanted to take a look back at what really went down on the set of the gory movie. To start, all of the creepy bathroom scenes were filmed in the same order they're shown in the movie. This was done to help the actors feel what the characters were experiencing. Yikes! When Amanda (Shawnee Smith) is searching through her cellmates "guts" after stabbing him, she's actually touching a pig's uterus! The only dummy used in the movie was the burnt body of Mark Wilson (Paul Gutrecht), who met his end while trying to save himself from a slow-acting poison in his body. All the other "corpses" were played by cast members. Director/writer James Wan also revealed in the commentary section of...

Barbie's Lead Designer Refuses to Acknowledge That Barbie Is Broken No, Barbies don't affect little girls' body image. Not at all. by Liam Mathews Last month was the 50th anniversary of the Surgeon General's report that proved a link between smoking and lung cancer. It took another 34 years after that announcement for any tobacco executive to publicly acknowledge the link. A similar denial is currently taking place at the Mattel corporation, makers of Barbie, where executives fail to acknowledge that Barbie is incredibly detrimental for girls' body image. In an interview with Fast Co.Design, Kim Culmone, vice president of design for Barbie, told reporter Mark Wilson, "Barbie’s body was never designed to be realistic," and that Barbie's primary function is to be dressed and undressed. In essence, that the clothes are more important than the doll, and that Barbie is a [...]...
