With Asim Naseri on the run, Eric's day is nowhere near being over. It doesn't matter that he just survived a beating from terrorists. It doesn't matter that after his brother's rescue attempt, he survived a surgical air strike. It doesn't matter that CTU now has Jadalla Bin-Khalid in custody. From the moment Eric saw Naseri, his primary objective has changed. He needs to find him as soon as possible.
Why? Asim Naseri was Bin-Khalid senior's bodyguard. He posed as a translator for Eric's unit in order to gain access to their highest value asset... and murder he and his family, decapitating the children.
That's a pretty good reason.
Through CTU, Eric discovers that Naseri contacted via cell phone a residence belonging to Jennifer Marshall. What he doesn't know is that Jennifer Marshall is tied to a chair, strapped with a bomb vest and being filmed...

The episode opens with Nilaa sitting at a table inside a holding room. Rebecca enters the room and sits across from Nilaa. She goes on to explain that they have discovered doctored video of her and that all evidence pointing to Nilaa as assisting the terrorists was falsified. Nilaa is free, but she worries that the damage is done; that everyone on the campaign has already judged her. Rebecca tells her it was John who revealed the doctored video. As Rebecca talks to Nilaa, John Donovan stands at the widow back at the compound looking out. He watches as his father Henry is taken into custody, having admitted to John that he gave the terrorists the names of the now deceased members of Eric’s Ranger team.
While Keith is trying to track Eric, Rebecca plays it off as if she has no idea what Eric is up to.

We open to Senator John Donovan questioning Nilaa about her involvement with the potential sleeper cell attacks. She has no idea who could be involved but swears it does not involve her. Watching from another room, Rebecca receives a call from Keith, who updates her on the loss of the list. Rebecca finishes the call, enters the room and informs them they are taking Nilaa to CTU for further interrogation. After their departure, John confides in his father Henry on how he feels about everything.
Angered over the loss of the Usb drive to Bin Khalid's terrorists, Eric Carter takes out his frustration on Ben. He pins Ben against the ambulance and puts the blame on whatever attack occurs on him, stating he will have contributed to the deaths of innocents. If you would have told me a few months ago that I’d be writing reviews for a spinoff of my favorite television series of all time, I would have tied you to a chair, threatened bodily harm upon you while shouting “Give Me A Name!” Yet, here I am, a 24 / Jack Bauer fanatic being given the opportunity to write reviews for 24: Legacy. I am as honored as Jack receiving his final phone call from President David Palmer before gong into hiding…
Okay. Enough of me geeking out about CTU’s greatest operative. Time to get to work.
Where we left off in the premiere, our new hero Eric Carter has discovered that his friend in the Army Rangers has unknowingly been in possession of a Usb drive containing codes to be sent to secret terrorist cells as part of a planned attack. Before he can do anything with it,...

The suspects are already piling up.
By the end of 24: Legacy Season 1 Episode 2, another strong character in contention for wanting to cause harm to America was found right by John Donovan's side.
With the feels I get about Donovan, it's going to have to be the man himself as the culprit to keep me from believing he's the world's biggest patsy.
Yes, the fun continued between 1 and 2 pm.
John finally arrived at his fundraiser, Rebecca tried to ask Keith Mullins questions but ultimately didn't listen to his answers, Eric got himself arrested so he could steal a couple million dollars from the local police and there were blow jobs and murder down at the local high school.
One hour in Washington, DC is just like any other in America, right? Good golly!
Let's begin with the high school shenanigans.

Full Disclosure: I never watched the original 24. Not because I wasn't interested, or because I was turned off by what little I did see. It just happened to premiere during a period of time in the 00s when I really wasn't much of a TV watcher. That said, I'm familiar with the show's conventions, and I did end up becoming a fan of the show's cousin, Homeland, on Showtime. So I walked into this Pilot episode for 24: Legacy with no real expectations or baggage from the Kiefer Sutherland iteration of the series.
It was pretty great.
The episode doesn't waste any time setting things up, but rather it starts things off at a full sprint. Within about 90 seconds we see a home being raided, a man being interrogated- and executed- by mysterious baddies, and our first glimpse of the show's protagonist. The machinations of the show's plot become clear right away,...

We in the United States just voted a new president.
On 24: Legacy we're going to be treated to President John Donovan, played by Jimmy Smits, who will most likely win the popularity contest of best president of the year if someone wins a poll...and he hasn't even started yet.
There's just something about Smits that makes us feel comfortable under his potential rule.
Before taking the role, Smits was a fan of the show, particularly the diversity it represents across the board for people of all types.
Women, like Miranda Otto, who's starring as Rebecca Ingram, will be more than window dressing.
Both Smits and Otto are excited about her what her character will represent, and are enthusiastic about the casting in general, suggesting there is about a 50/50 female/male split.
We can expect 24: Legacy to reflect what's happening with the racial tensions in the world, too.

Perhaps due to the rocky launch the title faced, Hangar 13 has spent the past few months releasing free content for Mafia III. While that’s great for most owners of the game, those that purchased the $29.99 season pass may have been wondering when that content would arrive. Well, worry no more, as the studio has finally unveiled when the next chapter of Lincoln Clay’s life will be told.
Beginning in March, three new pieces of story-based content will be releasing for Mafia III. Eschewing the core gameplay of the crime epic, these stand-alone tales will be stream-lined, straight forward stories. If this holds true, these pieces of content will improve one of the more frustrating aspects of the title, which was the tedious mission structure the game used.
Full details on the three story expansions haven’t been released yet, but Hangar 13 did provide descriptions and release windows for each of them.

In the lead up to the series premiere in February, Fox have been pretty clear that the upcoming "24: Legacy," a 'refresh' of the long-running thriller series, will only involve Kiefer Sutherland in an executive producer capacity... or will it?
Speaking at the Atx TV Festival in Texas this weekend, producer Howard Gordon revealed that he thinks Sutherland's iconic character Jack Bauer still has some life in him and could even appear at some point in "24: Legacy". He says to Deadline:
"I do think the character has life in him, whether it's a movie or if he intersects with this new iteration of 24. I sure would love to see him at some point on the show, and I don't think he's ruled it out, either."
Sutherland starred as leading man and Counter Terrorist Unit agent Jack Bauer throughout the show's eight season run and into the event series revival "24: Live Another Day". At last report though, Sutherland said he was completely done with the franchise.
Corey Hawkins stars in the new season as Eric Carter, a former Army Ranger who finds himself pulled back into action as his past comes looking for him. Miranda Otto plays Rebecca Ingram, the blazing smart former head of CTU who is still struggling with second thoughts about having left the counter-terrorism agency. Jimmy Smits plays John Donovan, a powerful U.S. Senator with higher political aspirations, married to Rebecca and running for president.

Miranda Otto ("The Lord of the Rings," "Homeland") has been tapped to play the co-lead in Fox's "24: Legacy" reboot opposite Corey Hawkins ("Straight Outta Compton").
Though structured in the same style of the original series, this features an all-new cast of characters and it's unclear how much of the original continuity from the show will be adhered to at this point. What is known is that none of the previous characters, such as Kiefer Suthlerland's Jack Bauer, will return.
Hawkins plays a military hero returning to the U.S. who finds that trouble has followed him back - compelling him to ask CTU for help in saving his life and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.
Otto plays Rebecca Ingram, the blazingly smart former head of CTU who is now married to Senator John Donovan and struggles with second thoughts about having left the counter-terrorism agency.

After an impressive stint on Homeland, Miranda Otto has now landed a leading role in 24: Legacy. News that Fox are rebooting the franchise, which starred Kiefer Sutherland as CTU agent Jack Bauer, has been met with a mixed response so far, especially as there are no plans for Bauer – whose story was not satisfyingly wrapped up in 24: Live Another Day – to return here.
Regardless, Otto is playing Rebecca Ingram, a character who is described as the blazing smart former head of CTU. Now married to Senator John Donovan, Rebecca is struggling with second thoughts about having left the counterterrorism agency. How she’s going to factor into the series isn’t clear, though it sounds like her role in 24: Legacy will be a pivotal one.
