Madonna’s producer said the final version of ‘Lucky Star’ is barely like the original
Reggie Lucas was the producer of Madonna’s self-titled first album. While Lucas is not a household name, he had a huge influence on the style of music known as post-disco, as well as dance music as a whole. Like him or not, Morgan Wallen is one of the biggest music artists in the world at the moment, in any genre. The country singer’s relatively young career has been a roller-coaster ride, to say the least, from the genuinely inspired to the boneheaded, and, in one case, shameful. Here’s a closer look at the major times the Sneedville, Tennessee, native has made waves with his music, his actions, or his words.

Elvis Presley‘s “Don’t Cry Daddy” was written by a country musician who wrote songs for numerous other stars. The country musician in question wasn’t a big fan of the track at first. “Don’t Cry Daddy” went on to become a hit and it appeared on one of the “Don’t Be Cruel” singer’s most important records.
Elvis Presley’s ‘Don’t Cry Daddy’ was ‘just another day in the life’ of its songwriter
Mac Davis was a country star who also wrote tunes for other artists, including Weezer, Bruno Mars, Avicii, and Dolly Parton. The three most famous songs he wrote for Elvis were “In the Ghetto,” “A Little Less Conversation” (which only became famous decades after its release), and “Don’t Cry Daddy.” The latter was one of the most successful ballads of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll‘s comeback era. “Don’t Cry Daddy” typifies the sentimental,...

Elvis Presley‘s “In the Ghetto” is one of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll‘s more somber and haunting songs and it could inspire many interpretations. The famous writer of the song said the tune is about “a vicious circle.” Notably, the track recently inspired a rap song with a similar theme.
Elvis Presley’s ‘In the Ghetto’ was written by a country star

He wrote several Elvis songs, including “A Little Less Conversation,” “Don’t Cry Daddy,” “Memories,” and, most famously, “In the Ghetto.” He also co-wrote Bruno Mars’ hit “Young Girls” and Avicii’s “Addicted to You.” Davis also had a career of his own as a country singer. Elvis Presley‘s “A Little Less Conversation” is one of his most famous songs — now. It wasn’t nearly as famous when it came out during the 1960s. Another artist came and helped the song achieve its full potential. Despite that, he walked away from the scene that made “A Little Less Conversation” a huge success.
Elvis Presley’s ‘A Little Less Conversation’ was missing something in the 1960s
It’s no secret that Elvis was one of the best singers of all time. It’s also no secret that he made a lot of terrible movies with bad soundtrack singles. Unless you love kitsch, songs like “Do the Clam” and “Rock-a-Hula Baby” are real slogs.
Elvis’ 1968 film Live a Little, Love a Little isn’t generally considered one of his better star vehicles. It gave the world a better-than-average soundtrack single: “A Little Less Conversation.” The track has some fun,...

Some of the writers behind Elvis Presley‘s songs were true masters of the craft. Case in point, the artist who penned Elvis’ “A Little Less Conversation” wrote a hit for Avicii. The artist discussed working for the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll and working for the King of Edm.

Mac Davis was a songwriter extraordinaire. In addition to having a successful country career of his own, he wrote hits for others, including Bruno Mars’ “Young Girls” and Avicii’s “Addicted to You.” He might be most famous today for writing Elvis classics such as “In the Ghetto,” “A Little Less Conversation,” “Don’t Cry Daddy,” and “Memories.” During a 2015 interview with Billboard, Davis discussed writing “Memories” for the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Double the episodes on Week 5 means double the themes — under one new theme — and a double elimination. Got all that? “Dancing with the Stars” will have a two-night event for Stars’ Stories Week: Monday, Oct. 17 will be Most Memorable Year Night and Tuesday, Oct. 18 is Prom Night.
The top 12 will perform on Monday, during which one couple will be eliminated, and the remaining 11 will hit the hardwood on Tuesday, during which a second couple will be axed. So it’s not a double elimination in one episode, but two couples will be gone by the end of Tuesday. This also means one couple won’t get to perform their Prom Night routine.
Tuesday will also include the dance marathon, featuring two styles, the hustle (to “Hot Stuff” by Donna Summer) and the Lindy Hop (to “Jump Jive an’ Wail” by The Brian Setzer Orchestra). Bonus points will be awarded to...

Los Angeles, Sep 29 (Ians) The family of Avicii, the late, multi-platinum-selling Swedish DJ, has sold 75 per cent of his master recordings and publishing to Pophouse Entertainment, the Stockholm-based company co-founded by Abba’s Bjorn Ulvaeus.
The family and estate will maintain ownership of the remaining 25 per cent.
Terms of the deal, which is estimated to be for nine figures, were not disclosed.
According to the announcement, a joint venture has been created between the family and estate of Avicii and Pophouse “to safeguard Avicii’s indelible legacy through future global endeavours”, such as the interactive tribute museum in Stockholm, “Avicii Experience”, that Pophouse and the Bergling family together opened in February.
Avicii’s father, Klas Bergling, commented: “Pophouse has presented a concrete concept and proposal for the long-term care and development of Tim’s musical heritage.

“Pophouse has presented a concrete concept and proposal for the long-term care and development of Tim’s musical heritage,” said Avicii’s father, Klas Bergling, in a statement.

The lives of novelists, filmmakers, musicians, and athletes have often been fodder for great works of art. Posner has had success with self-referential projects in the past; his biggest hit to date is 2015’s “I Took A Pill in Ibiza,” a clever, catchy bit of trend opportunism released at the height of America...

Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake is a sprawling epic of an album, an 18-track, 62-minute journey two rather chaotic years in the making. It’s also, at its core, something of a concept album, following the Philadelphia rapper’s abduction and subsequent journey through space. In other words, Eternal Atake was designed to be listened to in its entirety, which means Uzi made a pretty bold assumption when he released it in March of 2020: That people still listen to albums.

The Judge Cuts round of “America’s Got Talent” season 15 began on July 28 with another two-hour episode that saw the series doing things a little bit different in order to keep the crew and talent socially distant from one another. In this phase of “Agt,” judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara convened on an outdoor set for a drive-in movie themed viewing of the acts filmed from home.
Absent from the Judge Cuts are the five acts that advanced from the auditions round straight to the live shows for receiving a Golden Buzzer from one of the judges or host Terry Crews. Those were Voices of Our City Choir (Terry’s pick), singer Roberta Battaglia (Sofia’s pick), singer Cristina Rae (Heidi’s pick), dance group Waffle Crew (Simon’s pick) and spoke word artist Brandon Leake (Howie’s pick).
