Last year, big screen icon Arnold Schwarzenegger made his small screen debut, starring as stogie-smoking CIA operative Luke Brunner in Netflix's action-comedy Fubar. With millions of viewers tuning in to see the streamer's Chief Action Officer in, er, action, a second season was greenlit within weeks. And with production already underway on Brunner's return, we now know who Luke and spook daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) will be facing this time around — and folks, they're going to have their work cut out for them. None other than The Matrix's Trinity herself, Carrie-Anne Moss, has joined the cast of Fubar S2.
As THR reports, action veteran Moss is set to play Luke's former adversary — and former lover — Greta Nelso in the second season. An ex-East German spy who shares "a passionate history" with our man Luke, Greta will represent a new kind of challenge for Arnie's hero, who not...

Carrie-Anne Moss, best known for her iconic role as Trinity in 'The Matrix' franchise, is set to join Arnold Schwarzenegger and the cast of "FUBAR" for the show's second season on Netflix.
Moss will play Greta Nelso, described as a former East German spy who has a "passionate history" with Schwarzenegger's character, Luke Brunner. In the new season, Luke finds himself facing off against villains from his past, including an old flame (Moss) who threatens to destroy the world.
"We're thrilled to welcome Carrie-Anne Moss to the cast of "FUBAR" for what promises to be an action-packed second season," said creator and showrunner Nick Santora. "Her character Greta Nelso adds an exciting new dynamic as a nuanced adversary with complicated ties to Arnold's Luke Brunner."
In addition to Schwarzenegger and Moss, Season 2 will see the return of Monica Barbaro, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley, Milan Carter, Fabiana Udenio, and Barbara Eve Harris.
The satirical spy series, produced by Skydance Television, follows CIA operative Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) who finds himself thrust back into action after saving his daughter during an intended retirement mission in Season 1.
The series' first season garnered praise for its offbeat blend of action, comedy, and family dynamics anchored by Schwarzenegger's first major TV role. Season 2 will continue exploring those elements while raising the stakes with new threats for Brunner to confront.
A release date for the eight-episode season has not been announced yet. The series is executive produced by Santora, Schwarzenegger, Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, and others.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has provided an update to fans after undergoing open-heart surgery, offering some encouragement that he won’t be away from business for too long. Mae Martin, star of Netflix’s Feel Good series, is set to host a Canadian Screen Awards one-hour special in late May.
The country’s national film and TV awards for the second year running will not be broadcast or streamed live this year, as happened pre-pandemic. Instead, Martin will emcee a live-to-tape one-hour special filled with celebrity interviews and highlights from prize-giving during CSA award shows held in private and in person in Toronto.
“I am elated to be hosting this celebration of all the amazing talent in Canada, and plan on asking a lot of people I admire for selfies,” Martin said in a statement about her hosting duties. Last year’s Canadian Screen Awards TV special was hosted by fellow Canadian Samantha Bee.
Born and raised in Toronto, Martin as a comedian, actor, writer, and producer currently hosts the comedy podcast Handsome, alongside Tig Notaro and Fortune Feimster.

Plot: Jess and Bill Walker are doing their best to keep their family connected as their children grow older, more independent, and more distant. When a chance encounter with an astrological reader causes the family to wake up to a full body switch, on the morning of the most important day of each of their lives, can the Walkers unite to land a promotion, college interview, record deal and soccer tryout?
Review: In the sub-genre of body swap movies, very few films stand out as quality films. The concept itself is ridiculous and silly and tends to aim more toward family-friendly fare like Freaky Friday and 13 Going On 30. Still, even those movies benefitted from some personality and edge that helped them earn some originality, a quality sorely lacking in Netflix’s new Christmas-themed comedy Family Switch. Everything you need to know about this movie is showcased in the trailer,...

If the film and television industries have been challenged like never before in a year of double strikes, in the world of comedy, the story is very different.
In truth, stand-up has never been bigger, with one story after another rolling out of comedians setting records for attendance and viewership. Take Nate Bargatze, for example, who earlier this year set an Amazon streaming record with his special Hello World, before going on to sell a record number of tickets to an April show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and bringing SNL its highest-rated episode of the season. Or Matt Rife, a young up-and-comer with 10+ years under his belt, who hit the upper echelons of comedy seemingly overnight after blowing up on TikTok, selling out a global tour encompassing some 600,000 tickets in less than 48 hours, before going on to land his own forthcoming Netflix special, Matt Rife: Natural Selection. "I can't believe I thought we could pull this off!" Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a family comedy called Family Switch, the latest creation from why-is-he-still-making-movies filmmaker McG. Coming to Netflix for streaming this November, yet another cheesy holiday offering for families to sort of maybe laugh at. If the title wasn't a giveaway, here's what it is about: A family descends into chaos days before Christmas when a rare cosmic event causes the parents to swap bodies with their two teenage kids. When a chance encounter with an astrological reader causes the Walkers to wake up to a full body switch, can they unite to land a promotion, college interview, record deal and soccer tryout? Jennifer Garner, Ed Helms, Emma Myers, and Brady Noon star in this family comedy based on the book called "Bedtime For Mommy" by Amy Krouse-Rosenthal. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is back at the top.
The CBS show took the ratings crown during late-night’s return last week, despite tough competition at the start of last week from Jimmy Kimmel Live!
It comfortably beat Kimmel’s show and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon over the course of Monday through Thursday in the Live+3 Day ratings, per Nielsen.
However, the most surprising aspect of its ratings were perhaps the delayed viewing lift, scoring its highest three-day lift in over five years.
The Late Show averaged 2.79M viewers across the week in L+3, beating Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which averaged 1.78M by over a million viewers, and The Tonight Show, which averaged 1.42M. The Late Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live! air Monday through Thursday, while Fallon has a show on Friday nights (those full L+3 numbers are not in yet).

Tig Notaro, Fortune Feimster, and Mae Martin are excited to announce the launch of their new podcast, Handsome, on August 22, 2023.
Handsome is a comedy and storytelling podcast where the three comedians laugh their way through a candid, far-reaching and uproarious conversation, fielding a question each week from a friend, including Kenan Thompson, Atsuko Okatsuka, Neil Patrick Harris, Leisha Hailey, Lil Rel Howery, Jimmy Fallon, and many more.
Topics on Handsome range from childhood memories to philosophical musings, to creative inspiration and even (thanks to Sarah Silverman) private-part hygiene. Along the way, the three hosts approach every conversation with the warmth, hilarity, and insight that they’ve all been celebrated for as acclaimed individual stand-up comedians, actors, writers, and creators. Each of their singular comedic voices is spotlighted on the show, but together, their podcasting presence can only be described as ‘Handsome.’

You don't hire Arnold Schwarzenegger to be your Chief Action Officer and then don't double down on shows featuring him. Netflix is avoiding that mistake, announcing a second season for spy comedy Fubar, which stars the Austrian Oak. And along with that, there was a blooper reel from the first.
Fubar, created by Nick Santora, follows what happens when a father (Schwarzenegger's Luke Brunner) and daughter (Top Gun Maverick's Monica Barbaro as Emma) learn that they’ve each secretly been working as CIA Operatives for years, they realize their entire relationship has been a lie and they truly don’t know one another at all.
Jay Baruchel, Fortune Feimster, Fabiana Udenio, Milan Carter and Travis Van Winkle are all in the cast for this one, though there's no date yet for the new season.
