Tell your friends and get your phones out, there’s going to be a fight in the yard after school…between teachers!
After Mr. Andy Campbell (Charlie Day) accidentally gets a fellow teacher Mr. Ron Strickland (Ice Cube) fired from his job, Strickland invites Campbell to participate in a brawl after school. Being a short, scrawny and timid little man, Andy tries to wiggle his way out of getting his ass kicked.
Being all over social media and getting the entire school fired up for the big fight, Andy has nowhere to hide and must enter the brawl circle and put up the dukes.
Tracey Morgan and Jillian Bell add to this hilarious cast!
Choose a side – Day, or Cube.

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia director Richie Keen is making the jump to feature films, and he’s bringing Charlie Day with him for Fist Fight, which sees a mild mannered teacher (Day) accidentally crossing a much feared colleague (Ice Cube) on the last day of school, leading to a public fight that captures the attention of the both the faculty and the students. The first trailer is a hell of a lot of fun, with the perfectly cast Day and Cube playing off each other nicely and the pretty simple premise offering up all sorts of outrageous hi jinx. And it’s good to see Tracey Morgan back on our screens. Released: 17th February 2017 (U.S.)/24th February 2017 (Irl/U.K.)...

For those of you still watching ABC after the Oscars finally wrapped around midnight (or whenever they ended for people who dare not to live on the East Coast), Jimmy Kimmel Live's post-Oscars show made staying up late worthwhile. There were star-studded skits! Watch as Tracey Morgan plays Clubber Lang, Jr. for the upcoming Rocky sequel, Clubber, starring Morgan and a few other boxing legends you might recognize. And Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick reprised their Producers roles, but this time they're political consultants who realize that they could make more money backing a losing candidate than a winning one. But first, they have to find the worst candidate in history to back. Guess who they pick? Hint: the musical is called Trumped. But I think the best part of the whole show was that Matt Damon managed to "sneak" onto it not once, but three times, getting the rare...

Narrated wonderfully by Tracey Morgan, the Nsfw opening scene from R rated Christmas themed comedy The Night Before has come our way, via MTV, and if you were on the fence about watching Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon Levitt, and Anthony Mackie mess shit up on Christmas Eve, this should completely sell you on it. It sets up the main beats of the story nicely, and the humour is pitched beautifully, from Morgan trying to make the rhyming scheme of his version of the poem The Night Before Christmas work at all costs to the the little details like Levitt’s Wu Tang Clan christmas jumper. Check it out below. Released: 25th November (U.S.)/ 11th December (Irl/U.K.)...

Before I saw a single frame of Chris Rock's Top Five, the buzz suggested it was some kind of riotous comedy that would have me bent over with laughter, but it's not, and I don't mean that in a bad way. It's more a drama with comedic aspects and very much a cousin to Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's Birdman in that it tells the story of an actor whose heyday as a mainstream celebrity appears to be behind him and as a result, he's looking at an indeterminate future. Rock plays Andre Allen, best known as the star of the Hammy the Bear trilogy of movies. The Hammy character was a police officer that was either dressed as a bear or supposed to be an actual bear, I couldn't tell, but now Andre is putting all that behind him as he focuses on more serious fare such as his latest...

Also at the helm, Chris Rock takes the lead in Top Five, playing a former stand up comedian turned film star who wants to put comedy behind him and try his hand at something more serious, which doesn't sit right with his reality t.v. star wife (Gabrielle Union) and agent (Kevin Hart). No doubt Rock is drawing a bit from experience here (he also wrote the script), and he has drafted in some very familiar faces, with Rosario Dawson,Tracey Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, Adam Sandler, Whoopi Goldberg, and Jerry Seinfeld all making an appearance. There is a lot to like in this first trailer. Rock seems on fine form, and there is a lot of laughs to be had. Check it out below. Released: 12th December (U.S.)/ 16th January 2015 (Irl/U.K.)...

Much happened in this, the third episode of the final season. We got to meet Jack’s (Alec Baldwin) new girlfriend, we got to see a bit of Liz (Tina Fey) and Jenna (Jane Krakowski) perform one of their old stage skits, and we got to see more of Tracey (Tracey Morgan) being…well, himself. We also got to see quite a bit of Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, and that is quite a good thing.
Liz’s story through this episode was all about Tracey making a #plotpoint tweet about how women aren’t funny. Liz gets understandably annoyed at this and tries to prove him wrong. At the same time she’s dealing with Jenna, who recently was “outted” as being 56 years old. She isn’t, of course, and explains to Liz that this is part of a plot she’s...

This week sees the continuation of what’s likely to be the ongoing story arc for this season: Jack (Alec Baldwin) and Liz (Tina Fey) trying to tank NBC by programming some of the worst TV imaginable. This includes things like Liz telling the writing staff that there are no bad ideas and then putting pretty much everything they suggest on TV (ie: Black Hitler going to a restaurant).
This plan is, at this point, going well, and ratings are in the toilet. Jack is encouraged by this and tells Liz not to do anything political, because political stuff gets ratings. Then something horrible happens. Paul Ryan (Romney’s vice-presidential choice, for you overseas folks), drops out of the race because he was, apparently, born in Kenya. Tonight’s episode of 30 Rock, the first episode of the last season, ends with Jack (Alec Baldwin) and Liz (Tina Fey) toasting the idea of performing their jobs so badly they bring down the network. So apparently Brett Ratner's upcoming film Tower Heist was originally planned as a Oceans 11 type movie with an all black cast that would include comedians such as Chris Rock, Chris Tucker and a few others who would devise a plan to rob a Donald Trump type character. That was the film Eddie Murphy was trying to get made, and that obviously didn't end up happening.

Back when "Tower Heist" was coming together, the plan was to create an "Ocean's Eleven"-type comedy with an all-black cast that would include actors such as Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock and Chris Tucker. Eventually that plan was scrapped and Murphy ended up being the only black actor on board. Now, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Murphy revealed that he still wants to proceed with the original idea. "I still want to do something like that," he said. "I have this idea called 'Jamal and Tyrell and Omar and Brick and Michael's Wack-Ass Weekend' about this group of guys who get abducted by aliens on the way to the fights. I'm writing that now." The actor revealed that he's already in talks with Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Tracey Morgan and Martin Lawrence, and hopes to end up with another "Harlem Nights," which Murphy called the highlight of his career.

Ranked: Kevin Smith Movies from Worst to Best With Red State out this week, we take a look back at the man who made New Jersey famous (no, not Frank Sinatra). By Simon Abrams Love him or hate him, Kevin Smith represents an integral part of the American independent film scene of the ‘90s. His brand of eloquent, working-class slacker quickly became an archetype unto itself, and though the quality of his films varies wildly, he’s nothing if not consistent when it comes to style and tone. For your consideration, we submit this list of his films, from worst to best. 10. Cop Out (2010) Not nearly as bad as everybody seemed to think when it came out, Cop Out is sometimes charming. No, seriously! The chemistry between Bruce Willis and Tracey Morgan intermittently generates results. And we can all agree that Seann William Scott is funny, right? Right? Look, [...]...

With the looming threat of Alec Baldwin's ending tenure and Tracey Morgan recovering from his mishap, Tina Fey's role as the captain of "30 Rock" has become a lot more strategic.
As she is readying herself for the upcoming season (and as the Emmys grow closer), the new-mom sat down with Deadline to talk about how to navigate the show's past and what she plans on for the future.
Deadline: Do you think that Tracy Morgan’s seemingly anti-gay jokes in his standup routine [“I’ll kill my son if he acts gay”] will hurt the show’s Emmy chances or its reputation in general? Tina Fey: Because of my real-life pregnancy, we don’t go back on the air until January. I’m hoping that Tracy will have, and the world will have, forgotten about that by them. He from the first has gone around very sincerely and done his best to try to make up for the foolishness.

Chicago – Blue Sky Studios’ “Rio” feels nearly designed for Blu-ray as the film’s strengths are amplified by the world of HD video and sound. With bright colors and Brazilian music, it’s easier to get sucked into the world of this so-so family flick, and a large number of special features makes it easier to overlook the unsatisfactory nature of the actual movie. The important thing is that the little ones in your family will be captivated by the talking, dancing birds with the colorful plumage, especially in 1080p.

Nearly 60% of those locations were 3D presentations and Rio adds to an already huge foreign box office for a worldwide total gross of $168 million and growing. Rio features the voices of Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, Tracey Morgan and Jamie Foxx. The film may have been helped too by the cross promotion with the latest Angry Birds Rio game that was released in March. Another animated hit Hop (Universal) finished #3 and was knocked out of the #1 spot for the first time in three weeks.

Despite having a résumé of starring roles in both films and television, Tamala Jones (Daddy Day Camp, The Tracey Morgan Show) still went into her audition for a new ABC pilot.
That audition called for her to say one line (one line!) in a show called, Castle.
She took that one line, booked the show, quickly became a series regular and is now an integral part of the show as Dr. Lanie Parish. How cool is that?
I talked to Tamala about how she got her start, that one line audition and how she gets that medical dialog memorized.
For the full interview, click the audio link above or download from iTunes
Castle airs Mondays at 10/9c on ABC

Hand to God, when I started writing this post, I literally could not remember Channing Tatum's name. Every time I tried to type it out, it came out as Charming Potato. You can all thank commenter MikeyLikesIt for that, since he's the brilliant son of a whore who came up with the nickname. I tip my cap to you, Mr. LikesIt.
In any event, here's the trailer for The Son Of No One. It's one of those murky cop dramas about duty and honor and family and some cops being crooked and some crooks being noble and all that crap. It's yet another effort from Potato to prove that he's a legit actor. Part of me wishes him luck, since he does seem like a nice guy, and he's got his cute wife that he met on the set of whatever that goddamn dance movie was, and Michael Mann...

Directly from the Sundance Film Festival, the trailer for police-drama Son of No One premiers featuring an intense plot and an all-star cast, including the dramatic debut of Tracey Morgan. Along with Morgan and Tatum Al Pacino, Ray Liotta, Juliette Binoche, and Katie Holmes star in a film about a police officer's dark past ruining the present for which he's worked so hard. Son of No One is being considered as a potential Sundance Festival winner. If so, it would be the second for director Dito Montiel. Movie Trailers - Movies Blog Son of No One follows two friends (Tatum and Morgan) forced to face the consequences of a murder they committed -- and got away with -- 16 years earlier. Tatum's character Jonathan "Milk" White has gone on to a successful career with the police force and has...

MTV released a promo trailer for Dito Montiel’s new cop drama The Son of No One. Montiel’s film sports an all star cast including Channing Tatum, Al Pacino, Katie Holmes, Juliette Binoche, and Tracey Morgan in his first dramatic performance. This is Montiel’s third straight film with his A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints star Tatum with Fighting being the other film. I think Montiel gets the best out of Tatum, who is a very good actor but seems to do his best work with Montiel. The trailer looks good. I loved A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and I enjoyed Fighting as well, so I am anxious to see this film. I look forward to seeing what Montiel can do with the gritty New York cop drama, which is a genre that has been done before and done quite well.

It looks like the crew at "Tgs" will have to baby-proof the set: "30 Rock" star Jane Krakowski is expecting her first child with her fiancé, clothing designer Robert Godley.
Krakowski, who plays the kooky, ego-driven starlet Jenna Maroney on NBC's Emmy-winning hit, was spotted romping around a Caribbean beach Thursday with a swelling baby bump poking out from her black swimsuit.
"Both soon-to-be first-time parents could not be happier," the actress' rep told Us Weekly.
The baby news comes almost a year after the couple announced their engagement, which followed a courtship longer than a year. In addition to prepping for the impending arrival, the duo still have to hammer out the details of their wedding. Krakowski admitted this summer that the two hadn't even started crafting their nuptials yet.

Hye-ja Kim plays Mother. She is in her fifties and apart from scraping a living selling herbs and providing acupuncture to the local customers, she spends her days mollycoddling her mentally disabled 27-year-old son Do-Joon (Bin Won).
After being released from an assault charge, he goes out on a drinking binge vowing to have sex with a girl but he gets so plastered that he is thrown out of a bar. As he stumbles home he comes across a young schoolgirl who he propositions.
The next morning the police find the very same girl dead and the evidence points to only one suspect. Do-Joon is arrested for murder and now this overprotective Mother will do anything to clear his name and prove him innocent. After all her son is only a harmless slow-witted fool isn’t he?

Kevin Smith made his name not as a director so much as a writer, penning nerdy and vulgar conversations between people who stand around a lot and seem to do little other than talk to each other in memorable dialogue. So it was easy to question Warner’s choice to give the go-ahead on a script that head been sitting around for years, only to put the action-comedy in the hands of Smith, a guy who never directed a film he didn’t also write, without any experience in shooting action movies. With Tracey Morgan and Bruce Willis as the buddy cop duo, an R-rating and hype around a secondary role as the Shit Bandit for Seann William Scott, Cop Out had potential. It’s good for a couple giggles along the way, mostly courtesy of Morgan, but the overall results are a disappointment. The gags mostly seem stale, and...

Liev Schreiber and Ewan MacGregor added a little manjoyment to last night's "Darker Side of Green" debate series moderated by Tracey Morgan at the Bowery Hotel in NYC. The previous event, which was in La, brought out other stars like Andy Samberg and Kristen Bell two weeks ago. While Liev's Salt costar Angelina Jolie is off handling the press duties abroad, he was happy to chat about his experience working with her. He said, "I was very surprised by how normal she is, and how easy she is to work with. He also shared about how his kids, Sasha and Kai, got along with the six Jolie-Pitt children, saying, "There were playdates, which were amazingly fun." Accompanying the guys was Michelle Trachtenberg, who was on a break from shooting Gossip Girl. She weighed in on her former costar Taylor Momsen's outrageous rocker style, saying, "Oh goodness! Few films have sparked as much odd controversy as Kevin Smith‘s Cop Out, especially considering the overall merits and theory of the movie. Hitting theaters on the back of some less than stellar reviews, one of recent memories strangest firestorms ensued, with Smith bashing critics on Twitter, and several levels of backlash following.
The whole thing is so curious, because the film is decidedly middle of the road fare, and not particularly bad, even in spite of itself. A harmless enough, and pretty fun take on buddy cop films, it is a film that has its moments, and certainly doesn’t have the delusions of grandeur necessary for any especially pointed critique of either the effort, or the result.
Jimmy Monroe (Bruce Willis) and Paul Hodges (Tracy Morgan) are NYPD detectives, and recent misstep leads to their suspension. We get the idea that they are not absolutely “by the book” cops.

What’S New & Cool This Week:
New to DVD this week is Kevin Smith’s Cop Out, starring Bruce Willis, Tracey Morgan, Seann William Scott, and not many laughs. I will give Smith the benefit of the doubt, seeing how the film was his first director-for-hire gig but the guy should probably stick to films featuring rubber poop monsters and donkey shows instead of buddy cop comedies. Even still, fans of the man’s work should still check it out as the duo of Willis/Morgan do provide for some entertaining moments.

hollywoodnews.com: A great New York night: the Friars Club took over the Waldorf Astoria main ballroom and toasted Motown’s Smokey Robinson and Steiner Studios founder David Steiner.
Steiner probably drew the big donor crowd, which was fine. He’s a lovely guy. But it was Smokey who brought the music. The Supremes’ Mary Wilson, a glamorous and stunning 66 years young, paid tribute by bringing the house down with “I Am Changing” from Dreamgirls, Norah Jones’s “Don’t Know Why,” and invited the audience on stage for a singalong on “Stop! In the Name of Love.”
The Temptations–all new members along with founder Otis Williams–performed songs Smokey wrote for the group during their heyday including (my all time favorite) “Since I Lost My Baby.” Paul Shaffer described Robinson’s “My Girl” as the greatest pop composition ever from the rock era. Well, it...

If you’ve only seen Tina Fey lampooning Sarah Palin or surviving the recent Date Night with Steve Carrell then you’ve missed out on one of the funniest sitcoms of the decade.
30 Rock is set behind the scenes of a SNL type comedy show and weekly deals up a surreal slice of hilarity, taking the backstabbing world of corporate nonsense and mixing it with the skewed world of celebrity as Fey, Tracey Morgan and Alec Baldwin fire off the brilliant dialogue.
That is beat out the ostensibly similar Aaron Sorkin show Studio 60 in the ratings is testament to it’s appeal and with a fourth season just finished now is the perfect time to catch up with the Labours of Liz Lemon.
We have a copy of the 30 Rock Sesson 4 boxset to give away and all you have to do is answer the following question using the form below.

Every once in a while, our American cousins create a comedy series so original, so refreshing, that it makes you sit back and wonder how such an intelligent country could also be the home of Hillbillies and George W. Bush. America gave us Frasier, they gave us Friends, hell they even gave us Will & Grace, and more recently they also gave us 30 Rock.

The Cop Out soundtrack. A paean to 80s buddy cop movies is all well and good, but Cop Out isn’t just a love letter, it’s a comedy pastiche of a sub-genre which already had a pretty thick comedy seam running right through it, and furthermore, for his comedy version of already quite funny films (Beverly Hills Cop, 48 Hours, Lethal Weapon), Kevin Smith has cast in the lead roles a white guy who’s not as funny as Nick Nolte and a black guy who’s not only not as funny as Eddie Murphy (and saying that after Norbit makes me feel a little bit sick) but possibly the least charismatic screen presence since Karl Malden’s nose. And at least Karl Malden’s nose could say it was a character nose. Tracey Morgan is just awful.
