Dog the Bounty Hunter is honoring his late wife Beth Chapman on a very special day. The 67-year-old, whose real name is Duane Lee Chapman, paid tribute to Beth on Instagram on Thursday, Oct. 29, which would have been her 53rd birthday. "You are celebrating this day with Jesus and all his angels that's the only thing that gets us through without you," Dog wrote, alongside a publicity photo of Beth. "Happy birthday Beth we miss you & love you." Jamie Chapman, wife of Dog's son Leland Chapman, also paid homage to his late stepmother by writing, "Happy Birthday Beth...We love you and miss you tremendously." Beth, Dog's fifth wife,...

On their new series, Dog and Beth: On the Hunt — which premieres April 21 on Cmt — Dog, Beth and Leland Chapman help other bond agencies master the business of hunting bad guys on the loose. But that doesn’t mean they’ve lost their mantra of mercy and their belief in the use of non-lethal weapons. The Chapmans say the premise for the new show was based on the realization that their popular A&E series, Dog the Bounty Hunter, led to a boom in new bail agents, many of whom are not properly trained for the job — and because [...]...

Watch out, fans of "Dog the Bounty Hunter"! The show is expanding -- "Dog and Beth: Bounty Hunters" is the next stage in the "natural evolution" of the reality series.
Not being a connoisseur of the bounty-hunting genre of television, the panel at the TCA winter press tour sort of confused me. It also entertained me. A lot. Here are the top 10 parts of the panel, from least bizarre to most.
10. Duane "Dog" and Beth Chapman have matching bleached-blond hair and heavy tans. Strangely, this only highlights how much this couple adores each other.
9. It's hard to know how this happened, but Dog somehow worked the Newtown school shooting into his discussion of bounty-hunter training.
8. There's a national association of bounty hunters. Really. And why not? If there can be an association of hamster lovers (attn: Justin Bieber), there definitely can and should be a national association for bounty hunters.

There won't be a ninth season for Dog the Bounty Hunter. The A&E TV series has been cancelled by the cable channel.
The reality show follows Duane "Dog" Chapman and his family as they work as fugitive-recovery agents across the country. Dog's team includes his wife Beth, their grown sons (Duane Lee Chapman, II and Leland Chapman), daughter "Baby" Lyssa, and Dog's unrelated "brother," Tim "Youngblood" Chapman. The show was inspired by Chapman's appearance on Take This Job, a series about people with unusual occupations.
Debuting in 2004, Dog the Bounty Hunter became a valuable property for A&E and versions of the show have been seen in various international markets.
Over the course of the eight seasons, the show has had plenty of backstage drama. In 2011, Duane Lee and Leland quit and severed ties with the family.

Taking down fugitives from the law is dangerous enough when it's just the fugitive and the bounty hunter. Add in an entire mob of angry people, as see on "Dog the Bounty Hunter" (Wed., 9 p.m. Et on A&E) this week, and it can get positively deadly. But that's the situation Dog and his family found themselves in when trying to bring in one woman.
Her mother coordinated with the team to bring her to justice, but there were plenty of other people around who didn't want to see her get taken in easily. Of course, Dog and his team got their man -- or woman in this case. But the situation got so tense, they needed to take a moment to recover from their own emotions. Beth Chapman, in particular, was reminded in the situation of the rifts within her own family.

"Dog The Bounty Hunter" (Wed., 10 p.m. Et on A&E) returned from its short hiatus with an explosive start: a screaming match between Dog's sons Duane Lee and Leland Chapman, and their stepmom Beth.
“You want me fired, you gotta fire me," Duane Lee told her. "That’s all I’m saying.” Then Leland weighed in, saying “I quit too.”
“It’s not on me, Leland,” said Beth, yelling "Call your dad! Call your dad!” as the men walked out.
So, what really did go down chez Chapman? The rumor mill's been working overtime since TMZ reported back in February 2010 that Dog had fired his sons. (His rep later denied it, saying the pair had quit.)
Everyone involved's been tight-lipped, although both sons have now admitted that they've left the show.
Wednesday night Beth tweeted that the family drama is far from being done yet. "It will take 6 weeks...

Last night "Dog The Bounty Hunter" (Wed., 10 p.m. Est on A&E) Duane Chapman and his team were in Hawaii on the trail of a fugitive who was known to be a fast runner.
They enlisted the help of mixed martial arts fighter Kaleo Padilla to help them catch the speedy suspect. After Leland Chapman spotted him outside a local mall, Kaleo took off in hot pursuit.
The pair raced across the mall parking lot with the bounty hunters (and a no-doubt breathless production crew) following. Super-fast Kaleo caught up with the guy and tackled him just inside of the shopping mall doors.
Job done, the suspect was successfully handed over to local law enforcement officers and Lyssa Chapman summed up the operation: "Thank god for Leland's eyes. Thank god for Kaleo's feet."

There was nail-biting drama on last night's "Dog the Bounty Hunter" (Wed., 10 p.m. Est on A&E) as Leland Chapman shot at a fugitive who was trying to escape in a car.
Leland's dad, Duane "Dog" Chapman, managed to bring the guy to the ground, and wrestled him to the get the cuffs on, yelling at him to put his hands behind his back. (To be fair, it is actually kind of hard to put your hands behind your back when you're lying face-down on top of your arm and a huge guy is holding you down by the neck.)
Meanwhile, Dog's wife Beth decided to lecture the fugitive's female passenger -- who was also lying cuffed on the ground -- about her unsavory lifestyle choices.

The saga of Dog the Bounty Hunter is nothing if not interesting. Unlike arguably the vast majority of camera-ready, shrink-wrapped reality television personalities, Dog’s life actually has a fair amount of unscripted drama to it, and it’s really not a bad idea to have cameras following him 24 hours a day (provided he’s willing, which he always seems to be). Unfortunately, a lot of that drama seems to track him down precisely because he’s a reality television star, and the show that made his name so famous already has a well-established format that struggles to keep up with the capricious nature of his celebrity. While it’s nice to have so much of the series collected here to remind us why he’s famous in the first place, it feels like an incomplete portrait of a man we all know to be considerably more multi-faceted and volatile...

American TV bounty hunter Duane 'Dog' Chapman and two of his co-stars were arrested yesterday in Hawaii. Chapman, his son Leland Chapman and Timothy Chapman were brought into custody on suspicion of illegal detention and conspiracy in a kidnapping dating back three years. US Marshal Mark Hanohano says the arrest "went down without incident". Mona K. Wood, publicist for Chapman's show Dog The Bounty Hunter, insists he will be vindicated, "He arrests the bad guys - and he is definitely not one of them." The charges date back to Chapman's apprehension of Max Factor heir Andrew Luster in Puerto Villarta, Mexico, in 2003. Luster had fled the US after being convicted of raping three women, and his capture catapulted Chapman to fame and led to his show being commissioned. US Marshals spokeswoman Nikki Credic says the trio face extradition to Mexico. They were arrested shortly after Luster's capture and released on bail, but they failed to return for court hearings in Puerto Villarta. Mexican authorities wanted Luster turned over to them in 2003, but Chapman refused.
