I’ve not seen the original version but I think I’m going to try to before I watch the remake so I can compare and contrast. It’s due for release 26th February and the trailers that I’ve seen so far have pulled me in and i’m looking forward to seeing it. Check out the trailer embedded below beneath the synopsis or head over to Yahoo to view in HD:

Overture Films has debuted the first official trailer The Crazies remake directed by Breck Eisner in high def over on Apple today and can be seen below. This stars Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, Danielle Panabaker, Joe Anderson, Joe Reegan, and a whole town full of crazies. I actually think this trailer looks pretty damn good, despite it being a remake without one of the strongest directors. Though I should note that George Romero had nothing to do with this remake at all. I don't think it's going to be as good as the original and it's not going to be one of the best movies of next year, but it doesn't look terrible. Check it out! Watch the official trailer for Breck Eisner's The Crazies: You can also watch the trailer for The Crazies in High Definition on Apple The story revolves around the inhabitants of a small...

Overture has debuted the second teaser poster for Breck Eisner's remake of The Crazies that stars Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, Danielle Panabaker, Joe Anderson, Joe Reegan, and a whole town full of crazies. The poster doesn't feature any faces and is a follow-up to the first teaser from February. Kind of reminds me of the first teaser poster for The Invasion - I just hope this turns out much better than that movie (which was also coincidentally kind of a remake). It's a damn cool design and I like the look of it, I just want to see a trailer or more photos first, especially since this doesn't live up to craziness the original poster anyway. The story revolves around the inhabitants of a small Iowa town who are suddenly beset by death and insanity after a plane crash lets loose a mysterious secret biological weapon into the water supply.

So we've written about the remake of George Romero's The Crazies a few times previously, including the first teaser poster and their Twitter account, but this is our official first look at a photo from the movie. Bloody Disgusting debuted this new photo in conjunction with their set visit report, which is a pretty good read if you're really into this. Seen below is Timothy Olyphant, believe it or not (he looks a lot more like Adam Baldwin), with some battle wounds from fending off the hordes of "crazies" in his town. Unfortunately this is all we get to see for the time being, as the production is still shooting in Georgia. In addition to Olyphant, The Crazies stars Radha Mitchell, Danielle Panabaker, Joe Anderson, Joe Reegan, and a whole town full of crazy Kansas locals. The story revolves around the inhabitants of a small Kansas town who are...

Overture Films has joined up with Bloody-Disgusting to give one lucky horror fan a chance to be a part of the upcoming remake of George A. Romero’s The Crazies, which is scheduled to begin shooting in Georgia in the coming months. The winner will be chosen by random drawing and will be afforded a trip to the set on April 3rd as well as an opportunity to be an extra in the film!
The Crazies is being directed by Sahara director Breck Eisner and stars Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, and Joe Reegan. Of additional interest is the involvement of cinematographer Maxime Alexandre, who was responsible for some great work with Alexandre Aja’s Haute Tension and the remake of The Hills Have Eyes. Hopefully he’ll be able to provide the same camera gloss that made those two films so visually appealing.
