The 2023 VMAs are coming up on September 12, with top nominees like Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Sza, and The Weeknd vying for prizes. The races this year are competitive, with many of the biggest hits clashing with some of music’s biggest fanbases. So let’s consider who will win in four genres: Best Pop, Best R&b, Best Rock and Best Alternative.
SEESean ‘Diddy’ Combs will receive Global Icon Award at 2023 VMAs
Best Pop
We can rule out Demi Lovato, Ed Sheeran, and Pink here. Dua Lipa’s “Dance The Night” is certainly a big hit, but it’s not as ubiquitous as the number-one hits in the category. So this will come down to the other three videos: Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers,” Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire.”
There’s no denying that Swift has the biggest fanbase out of the three artists, so she might come out on top.

She thanked God, her mom, and her team before mentioning the Supreme Court's recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, a topic many other attendees also brought up during the ceremony. "It's giving pro-choice. It's never giving a man policing my body," she added as the crowd cheered her on.

The single follows “Don’t Love Me,” which the singer dropped in May, and “Walk Through Fire” a collaboration with Yung Bleu released in March. The pair also joined forces for 2021 single “Stay Down.

Coi Leray’s album Trendsetter marks the culmination of a nearly four-year journey that began with the RIAA-certified success of 2018’s “Huddy” and continued with 2021’s “No More Parties.” It also included a handful of minor dustups: video of her at last year’s Rolling Loud Miami drew social media mockery for her concert audience’s nonplussed reaction; and, more worryingly, a war of words erupted with her estranged father, rapper and onetime Eminem combatant turned reality-tv star Benzino. Ironically, the tumult elevated Coi Leray’s profile, helping her emerge...
