They made it look easy. Ryan Murphy, Cody Miller, Michael Phelps, and Nathan Adrian easily won the men's 4x100-meter medley relay on Saturday night, setting a new Olympic Record in the process. With the screaming crowd on its feet, The U.S. Team won the race in 3:27.95. Great Britain won the silver with 3:29.24. Australia took the bronze with a 3:29.93. As they won the race, the men wrapped each other in bear hugs and looked over at their families. Phelps' fiancée, Nicole Johnson, wiped away tears. The win capped off an impressive Olympics for all four men.

One Olympics super-fan made his dream of heading to Rio come true - and he has the selfies to prove it. Brent Folan from Fort Worth, Texas, got into the Rio Olympics as a volunteer and has been racking up an envy-inducing number of selfies with the athletes. "It does not seem like real life," Folan told the Wall Street Journal. "It truly feels like a dream." Three years ago, Folan became determined to go to the Rio Olympics, WSJ reports. He wrote in an Instagram post that "after years of planning," his dream of heading to the Games had finally come true.

That Lily King finger wag the other night? Turns out it was actually a prophecy, because she’s now certifiably Number 1.
The American swimmer, who made headlines over the weekend for publicly calling out Russian rival Yulia Efimova’s history of using performance-enhancing substances, had the definitive last word by nabbing first place in the 100-meter breaststroke at the Summer Olympics.

White Collar holds a very dear place in my heart. It’s the show about which I first wrote for AfterEllen. So I love it in a perfect, first love, kind of way. That will probably never change but it doesn’t mean I don’t think they should use Agent Diana Berrigan a whole lot more. Because she hasn’t been featured heavily in the three episodes so far, I’m lumping them together to get you caught up on the show.

When last we left our heroes Neal had just discovered that mystery man “Sam” is actually his dad. We begin this part of the season with Neal confronting “Sam” about being his Papa. Oh yes it still hurts that Ben Affleck was not given a Best Director Oscar nomination, yet his fantastic film "Argo" continues its ascension to Oscar glory! The film took home the top prize at the Producers Guild of America Awards taking home the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures.
So guess which film will win the Oscar Best Picture? Yup, it will be "Argo!" Why? Well, Hollywood really loves movies about them and "Argo" is about a movie of a fake movie in order to help free some Americans trapped in Iran during the hostage crisis.
And, the PGA award is a significant Academy Awards precursor. Only seven times in 24 years has the PGA winner failed to win a Best Picture Oscar. So "Argo" has a strong chance.
I'm also happy that "Searching for Sugar Man" won the Documentary category, and not so happy...

I know the general rule in a polite society is "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." But somehow, I didn't think that applied to Anna Wintour. So why, when asked about Kanye West's fashion line, did she respond "Ask someone else."?
The feds are targeting marijuana dispensaries in California for a major raid, sending letters reminding them that federal law trumps state law legalizing medical use. I guess President Obama is giving up the stoner vote.
I wish this clip from the BBC's Bedlam was embeddable, because not only does it have out cutie Will Young, it also has a seriously long look at Theo James in just a towel.
When a straight ally says that if he were gay and joining a biker gang, he'd want to name it Hell's Anals or The Sodomites and The Mangols, do we get upset? I'll let...

Dinner for Schmucks
Opens: July 23rd 2010
Cast: Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis, Bruce Greenwood, David Walliams
Director: Jay Roach
Summary: A renowned publisher encourages his friends to invite the most pathetic guests possible for their weekly dinner party. Just as they find the most pathetic man yet, the host is injured and ends up trapped with the man all night long.
Analysis: A remake of director Francis Veber's 1998 César award-winning "Le Diner des cons", 'Schmucks' is one of the highest profile comedies of next year with one of the strongest casts for the genre in recent memory. It also marks the return of "Austin Powers" and "Meet the Parents" helmer Jay Roach who has produced several films in recent years but hasn't directed since 2004's "Meet the Fockers".
The question now lies not in the performers or director but the material itself and whether a Gallic comedy can...
