Yesterday (June 8), Hollyoaks fans saw show stalwart Ste Hay commit to Doug Carter after scamming his violent former lover Brendan Brady. Ste's decision came as part of a love triangle for the trio, which kicked off last month. Both Brendan and Doug seem to genuinely be in love with Ste, but with more twists and turns expected for all (more)...

Speaking to Inside Soap, the actor declared that abusive ex-boyfriend Brendan Brady (Emmett Scanlan) will next week manipulate his alter ego into reigniting their relationship at the expense of Doug Carter (Pj Brennan). "This is typical Brendan - he's messing with Ste's head," Richardson told Inside Soap. "He tells him he's changed, and promises their relationship will be different this time. Blood Relatives
There are things I liked about this clip. I liked that Esther was put out because Woulter wanted to have the party for him and Thomas at their house instead of hers. She’s a controlling woman so it’s no surprise she would hate changes put upon her by Thomas’ latest squeeze. Her being snippy about the event was the highlight of the clip, as was the shouting match between her and Eva. But I think Thomas and Woulter’s sudden coupledom is quite rushed.
Why are they rushing this?
It just seems strange to throw a party for a relationship that’s only a few weeks old. I don’t even know why these two are together as the show hasn’t bothered to give us any relationship dynamics. I think the bigger problem though is that the show is all about...

Neighbours
Neighbors garnered a lot of talk last week because of the show’s first gay kiss and how it was handled. Many thought it was great that it was treated like no big deal in that Chris and Aiden were making out just like many of the other couples at the party had. But some viewers were upset that the kiss was in the background and not the center of the scene, which you would expect given that it was the first gay kiss for the show. While I commend Neighbors for how they handled the kiss, which was quite passionate and not awkward like many kisses between two straight actors can be, it’s symptomatic of the overall problem with this storyline. Like Chris and Aiden’s kiss, too much of the action is happening in the background.
Aiden and Chris’ kiss should have been in the foreground,...

Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has teased the future of Ste Hay's surprise new storyline with Doug Carter. Earlier this week, viewers saw Doug (Pj Brennan) begin to question whether he was seeing Ste as more than just a friend as they shared a hug at their new business. The pair recently teamed up to open a deli in the village and are currently working to get the outlet ready for launch. Richardson today (April 13) told Channel 5's Live With Myleene: "Ste didn't have any friends, so he's started this friendship with Doug. And they've now become business partners and maybe something else might happen - a relationship possibly." Pressed on whether fans can expect a romance for the duo, he continued: "Yeah, I think so! Thank you, Aristophanes.
A mere 2,400 years after he wrote "Lysistrata," its latest take-off "Lysistrata Jones" is the best musical of the Broadway season.
It would be too easy to dismiss this as "High School Musical" east just because of singing and dancing basketball players. This is a musical with substance, energy and joy, and it's impossible to leave frowning.Patti Murin, as Lysistrata, or Lyssie, who was also wonderful and exuberant in "Xanadu" and Liz Mikel ("Friday Night Lights") as Hetaira, a courtesan not to be crossed, are magnificent. Mikel has the presence and voice of a woman who knows her power.
And she's only too happy to share that power and wisdom with a ragtag bunch of college cheerleaders and one strident librarian on work-study. The story, at least its main point, remains true.
As they say in the opening number, "It's a play by Aristophanes/He's dead/so we do as we please.
