It’s the end of the road for Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner. The first-ever The Golden Bachelor couple has decided to divorce just three months after tying the knot. Nist and Turner sat down for an interview with Good Morning America to make the announcement. Both insisted that the long-distance nature of their union led to the divorce. Gerry Turner presented himself as a grieving widow, lost and adrift without his high school sweetheart when The Golden Bachelor premiered. Months later, just one day before the The Golden Bachelor finale aired, reports began to surface that Turner quickly moved on from Toni Turner.

One of the most successful cinematic universes in Hollywood doesn't have any superheroes, isn't set in outer space, and wasn't originally designed as a cinematic universe at all. James Wan's 2013 horror movie "The Conjuring" was made on a budget of just $20 million but became a stunning box office success, grossing more than $320 million worldwide. That success has since spawned a whole world of horror that includes not only two "Conjuring" sequels, but also the spin-off "Annabelle" trilogy, two "Nun" movies, and (tenuously) "The Curse of La Llorona."
A big part of what makes the "Conjuring" movies so frightening is their commitment to practical effects. The strangest supernatural feats are achieved using wire work, contortionists, and stunt performers, while monsters like the Nun and the Crooked Man are real actors in make-up.

National Geographic has greenlit “Sally,” a new documentary about Dr. Sally Ride, the first American woman to go to space in more than 40 years ago, the network announced Thursday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
From director director Cristina Costantini (“Science Fair”) and producers Dan Cogan (“Icarus”) and Lauren Cioffi (“Naomi Osaka”), the film will delve into the life of the groundbreaking astronaut and the sexism she faced as one of very few women in space exploration at the time. “Sally” (working title) will feature never-before-seen archival footage in space and on the ground, along with interviews with Ride’s fellow astronauts Anna Lee Fisher and Kathy Sullivan, friend (and one-time tennis opponent) Billie Jean King, and her life partner Tam O’Shaughnessy, the last of whom also serves as executive producer.

Steve Harvey never shies away from an opportunity to show off his comedic talent.
During a recent episode of Family Feud, the 67-year-old host had viewers and contestants in stitches with his impromptu slapstick performance.
Steve asked the contestants the survey question, which read, “We asked 100 men: If they made a statue of you, name a part you’d hope they’d make a little bigger than it really is.”
A contestant named Carolyn was the first to tap her buzzer, answering, “Those nice, thick thighs, Steve.”
Carolyn’s answer elicited woos and laughter from her teammates and the studio audience, and Steve couldn’t help but crack a joke.
“Alright, Miss Carolyn. You done seen some bodybuilders, huh?” he asked her.
Steve Harvey’s bodybuilder impersonation had Family Feud contestants and viewers roaring with laughter
That’s when Steve busted out his best impression of a bodybuilder, popping one leg and thrusting it around.

Tuesday night at a CBS-sponsored “Survivor” event at NeueHouse Hollywood, Jeff Probst surprised superfans when he appeared following a special screening of the 12th episode of Season 45, titled “The Ex-Girlfriend at the Wedding.” He handed out orange “Survivor 45” Buffs to those in attendance and answered several of their burning questions. Being that Gold Derby covers the awards beat, I just had to ask the longtime host and producer what he thought of the show’s recent Best Competition Program Emmy nomination after 17 long years of snubs.
“I don’t know what happened with the Emmys, honestly,” Probst conceded. “I won Best Host four years in a row and was never nominated again. It was like the switch just turned off. At first, your feelings are hurt a little bit because you look at the other shows and of course you’re biased, it’s the show that you work on.

Theresa Nist won Gerry Turner’s heart on The Golden Bachelor. Now, the couple is planning to tie the knot. Their wedding will air live on ABC on Thursday, Jan. 4. But should they take a beat before they race down the aisle? One expert thinks so. Psychiatrist Carole Lieberman believes Theresa, 70, could be making a big mistake by saying “I do” to Gerry, 72.

ABC’s Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner commented on an exposé released this week that detailed his less-than-golden relationship past.
Turner was asked about the story by reporters while doing interviews for the hit reality show, which aired its season finale Thursday night. The Hollywood Reporter’s story, which ran one day ahead of the finale, detailed how the first Golden Bachelor’s past was a bit different than what’s been presented on the show. [Editor’s Note: On April 12, around three months after ABC’s Golden Wedding, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced they are getting a divorce. Read that story here.]
By sharp contrast to the young cads with sixpack abs previously populating the hot tubs on ABC’s The Bachelor, Gerry Turner, the handsome, 72-year-old star of The Golden Bachelor spinoff, brought fresh air and life to the franchise with something rarely seen on reality TV: genuine depth and sensitivity.
Still a grieving widower, Gerry (pronounced Gairy) cried real tears during the opening episode when he recounted the story of Toni, his beloved wife of 43 years, who tragically died of an infection just one month after their move to their “dream” retirement house on Big Long Lake in Hudson, Indiana (pop. 537).

Plot: When married couple Cam and Sky move into a property formerly owned by the voyeuristic, homicidal slumlord from the previous films, Cam discovers that the place is still equipped with cameras and monitoring equipment. He begins to follow in the slumlord’s creepy footsteps… while also starting to fear that the slumlord is still lurking around.
Review: In the 2015 film 13 Cameras, writer/director Victor Zarcoff and actor Neville Archambault introduced viewers to one of the most repugnant characters ever put on the screen: slack-jawed, perverted, homicidal slumlord Gerald. That film had one hell of a downer ending, so thankfully it received a sequel three years later – 14 Cameras, with Archambault reprising the role of Gerald and Zarcoff writing the screenplay for Scott Hussion and Seth Fuller to direct. Again, the door was left wide open for a sequel, with Gerald still up to his woman-capturing ways. So it’s good that,...

Will Smith and Chris Rock's heated exchange at the 2022 Academy Awards will go down in Oscars infamy. The annual show took a sharp turn on March 27, 2022, when Smith slapped Rock in the face after the comedian made a cruel joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and her buzz cut. The "Red Table Talk" cohost has been candid about her hair loss and alopecia, so Smith took offense to his wife's medical condition being a punchline.
The shocking moment moved rather quickly during the Oscars, leaving many viewers with unanswered questions - mainly why Smith chose that moment to confront Rock. For those unaware of their previous encounters, Smith's actions may have seemed extreme. However, several of Smith's peers have defended him - including his "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" costar Janet Hubert. On March 27, 2022, Hubert shared a now-deleted Instagram post (via Entertainment Weekly) with a screenshot of Smith giving his acceptance speech captioned,...

The “cameras” franchise – for yes, 15 Cameras is actually the Third film in the series – has had a bit of a fractured history. The first film debuted at Frightfest 2015 under the title Slumlord, then was released a year later under the title 13 Cameras. Two years later the rest of the world would get 14 Cameras, whereas here in the UK the film was quietly put out on VOD platforms as I See You… with zero fanfare or much fan reaction for that matter either.
Now comes 15 Cameras. Released some five years after the original sequel this film, sadly, does not feature Neville Archambault’s creed serial-killing, camera-watching Gerald, after the actor passed away last year. This...

It’s easy to forget a new David Cronenberg film premieres in, let’s say, seven months, perhaps at a film festival, maybe one in the south of France. Whatever and whenever, it’s sure to be one of 2024’s great cinematic happenings, and likely most affecting: I’ve assumed for a bit that The Shrouds––concerning an “innovative businessman and grieving widower who builds a device to connect with the dead inside a burial”––would reflect the passing of his wife, Carolyn, who died in 2017 after 38 years of marriage. The man’s seemed ruminative recently: Crimes of the Future (to my mind) clearly exemplified an artist wondering whether their influence became fruitful or malignant.
Shrouds star Diane Kruger (replacing the once-cast Léa Seydoux) more or less confirmed this much to Variety, telling them it “might be his most personal film, because it talks about him and the passing of his wife.

It’ll be hard to top Survivor‘s hit previous season: Carolyn’s big personality made every episode of Survivor 44 fun, and perennially uplifting winner Yam Yam felt truly deserving. Among the new players diving in for 26 days in Fiji: three attorneys (who will probably fib about their profession), a pop star with the stage name J. Maya and a gym owner who looks like he’ll steamroll through the physical challenges. Here, host Jeff Probst tells us more about what’s to come in Survivor Season 45’s 90-minute episodes, kicking off Wednesday, September 27 at 8/7c on CBS. It’s Survivor 45 – 45! What keeps you coming back? Jeff Probst: I really do still love doing Survivor, and the reason hasn’t changed over 22 years. I love people. I love human behavior. I love how we justify our ethics. I love watching players try to navigate complicated social relationships while playing an...

Seven years ago, Victor Zarcoff introduced the world to a perverted creep named Gerald in his horror thriller 13 Cameras – and five years ago, Gerald returned to menace more people (including future Prey star Amber Midthunder) in the sequel 14 Cameras. Sadly, Neville Archambault, who played Gerald in both of those films, passed away unexpectedly last year at the age of 66. But Gerald’s legacy lives on in the upcoming sequel 15 Cameras, which is set to receive a VOD release from Gravitas Ventures on October 13th. With that date right around the corner, a trailer for 15 Cameras has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.

The songstress gets candid about her heartbreaking spilt from Erik Anders Lang.
Sia is getting candid about experiencing extreme lows amid a gut-wrenching divorce. The songstress split from her first husband, Erik Anders Lang, in 2016 after two years of marriage.
“I got divorced and that really threw me for a loop,” she says in a new interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1. “There was such a dark time that I was in bed for three years, really, really severely depressed. And so I couldn’t really do anything for that period of time.”
The 47-year-old artist is gearing up for the release of her upcoming album, Reasonable Woman, her first full-length offering in eight years. In her new interview, she shares that it’s comprised of songs she’s been writing “here and there” over the “last six, seven years.”

This article contains spoilers for "The Nun II."
The events of "The Nun II" pick up four years after "The Nun," with Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) called once again to assist with taking down the demon Valak (Bonnie Aarons) following a string of priest murders throughout Europe. Unfortunately, Sister Irene doesn't know what audiences who saw the previous film already do, which is that Valak has been using Maurice "Frenchie" Theriault's (Jonas Bloquet) body as a vessel, as proven by the inverted cross embedded in his skin. When we catch up with Frenchie, he's started working at a girl's boarding school as a handyman, and in a will-they/won't-they relationship with one of the teachers, Kate (Anna Popplewell). He's become somewhat of a father figure to her daughter, Sophie (Katelyn Rose Downey), and has built a wonderful life for himself. Alas, Valak refuses to stay contained for long, and Sister...

Season 45 of CBS’s reality TV show “Survivor” will premiere on September 27, and (for the first time ever) each episode will be 90 minutes long. As usual, this Fall 2023 competition will strand 18 diverse castaways on a deserted island in Mamanuca Islands, Fiji, where they will initially be divided into three tribes. The players will compete in challenges for immunity and rewards, and they’ll vote each other out until only one remains as the $1 million winner. Scroll through our gallery above (or click here for direct access) to see the “Survivor 45” cast photos — who’s your early favorite?
This 45th installment was filmed in Spring 2023, presumably after the fresh cast members had watched the “Survivor 44” finale on their TVs, in which Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho was crowned the champion. As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Conjuring franchise, it’s fascinating to note that The Nun was released almost exactly five years ago to the day The Nun 2 is set to hit the screens. Amidst the various malevolent entities that Ed and Lorraine Warren have confronted, one figure stands out as the most chilling—simply known as The Nun. This unsettling evil presence has become iconic ever since it first graced the screen. What’s intriguing is that the nun’s sinister history dates back further than many might realize, making it essential for die-hard fans of The Conjuring universe to keep up with the lore. However, fear not if you’ve lost touch with the franchise, because if you’re eager to dive into the new film and want a quick refresher, we’ve got you covered with the key details you need to know before...

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Justified: City Primeval” Episode 8, “The Question” — the season, or series, finale.]
In the end, Timothy Olyphant’s scrupulous U.S. Marshal wants what every other beleaguered public servant wants at the end of a long, hard day: a good night’s sleep. That’s it. That’s all he asks. Yet whether it’s his conscience stirring him to action or the recurring call of duty blaring from his phone, Raylan Givens isn’t resting easy — not yet, anyway. The enduring assumption that one more case closed, one more bad man cuffed, or one more just act in an unjust world will allow him to hang up his hat for good lingers over the “Justified: City Primeval” finale, as well as its preceding episodes, in a way that suggests satisfaction is little more than a myth. Even when he’s not just doing it for himself (he’s doing it...

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details of the August 29 series finale of Justified: City Primeval.
Timothy Olyphant’s return to the role of U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens in Justified: City Primeval completed its eight-episode limited series run tonight on FX. Surviving the Oklahoma Wildman Clement Mansell (Boyd Holbrook), Givens seemed headed to a proper retirement, hanging up his badge and gun for a quiet life in Miami. Just when he was finally out — a pensioner content to refurbish a Florida shack and dote on the daughter he neglected for years — with the promise of a relationship with lawyer Carolyn (Aunjanue Ellis)…up pops Boyd Crowder, the charming silver-tongued psychopath played by Walton Goggins. Crowder, who vexed Raylan on and off throughout the original series creation from the Elmore Leonard novels, has escaped with the help of a girlfriend posing as a guard who is supposed to escort him to...

I admit that Justified: City Primeval Season 1 Episode 8 leaves me with some intense feelings.
Mostly, I feel incredibly cheated by a revival that promised to carve out a new path for Raylan Givens -- one where his sensibilities as a father would temper his quick trigger, shaping his renegade spirit into an inspiring leader.
Instead, Detroit breaks him. Then, all the ghosts of the past return. And does everything that happens in Detroit even matter at the end of the day?
Seriously. Are we meant to care about Robinson, Bryl, and Downey? Do the Detroit Pd deserve to have their resources tied up investigating Downey?
If she was Clement's mole in the department, there was Nothing in the script to even hint at a connection between the two. That's not good gotcha writing; that's bad plot planning.
Instead, I offer this interpretation.
Downey is in the book and is...

It's hard to get too excited about Justified: City Primeval Season 1 Episode 5 when it feels like a lot of wheel spinning.
Sure, Raylan and Carolyn get complicated, and Clement and Sweetie start their extortion endeavor together, but the governor's not the only one wondering why the judge's murder investigation isn't progressing.
I appreciate that Carolyn's not impressed by Raylan and Jamal's cockfight posturing. Still, if the purpose of piling the pain on her is to push her to use the judge's notebook to secure her judge appointment, I'm not feeling it.
I'll allow that trying to put Jamal in her rearview is a challenging process.
It took over a year to clear out his office in their law firm. He's still collecting alimony. They have A Lot of history together.
So it's understandable if Carolyn's conflicted about how surgical she can be cutting him out of her life.
Jamal: Marriage.

When “Survivor” found itself nominated at this year’s Emmys in the Best Competition Program category (for the first time in 17 years), no one was more excited than the Tika Three. This fan-favorite alliance from “Survivor 44” is made up of winner Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho, finalist Carolyn Wiger and fourth-place finisher Carson Garrett, aka the “Three Stooges.” Amazingly, Yam Yam “manifested” this Emmy Award nomination last summer while speaking with host/producer Jeff Probst on the island during filming. “Jeff laughed it off, and it happened!” Carson explains. Watch the exclusive video interview above.
“Survivor” has won seven total Emmys through the years: four for Probst as Best Reality Host (2008-11), plus one each for Best Cinematography (2010), Best Sound Mixing (2001) and Best Non-Fiction Program (2001) — the latter being a “Special Class” award that was handed out before the current competition category was established.

This post contains spoilers for the latest episode of "Justified: City Primeval."
Clement Manzel (Boyd Holbrook) is a wild man. That's not just my assessment; the villain of "Justified: City Primeval" actually saunters into the show this season with the nickname "The Oklahoma Wildman," a moniker that's just as chaotic as the big bad himself. Holbrook has done an incredible job so far injecting the man with a sense of unhinged danger and unearned confidence. He's a murderer who seems to get away with his crimes again and again through sheer force of will, threatening whoever stands in his way. Now, with a dead judge's little black book in his hands, he seems like he could be unstoppable.
But what does Manzel actually want? In the latest episode of the series, he and his girlfriend Sandy (Adelaide Clemens) -- who seems to be a pile of frayed nerves but is also sincerely into him,...

Betrayal is a tricky path to walk, yet several people choose it on Justified: City Primeval Season 1 Episode 3.
Willa sees Raylan's decision as backstabbing when he's doing what a father needs to do. Sweety is conflicted but desperate about turning over the weapon. Sandy's affection for Skender is purely transactional in light of her relationship with Clement, but even that is negotiable.
As is true with most dangerous options, it is not an easy choice, but it usually looks to be the only one.
And then there's Carolyn Wilder, our acolyte of Lady Justice.
She knows the Law doesn't always mete out true justice, but it's the system she's chosen to work within.
So can she support Sweety in his choice while representing Clement and still be considered pristine in the eyes of the law? Will this be as much of an obstacle to her bid for a judge's position as her ex-husband's tax lien?...

We're in the home stretch of summer, but that doesn't mean there's a lack of TV content.
The CW kicks off its Monday comedy block, Good Omens finally returns, and Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig return to the ring on Heels Season 2.
Oh, and we can't forget Taylor Sheridan's Special Ops: Lioness. The cast alone is worth tuning in for.
Scroll down to find out what we recommend this week.

8/7c V.C. Andrews' Dawn: Twilight's Child (Lifetime)
Dawn should be living her best life. She's now married to her pseudo-brother husband and raising some deadbeat Broadway star's kid while running her evil family's hotel empire.
She should be living the perfect life these days, right? Yeah, no.
She still has her creepy obsessive brother Philip and evil sister Clara to contend with, as Lillian's memory still haunts her. Yes, it's another round of this saga,...

We're a long way and a long time from Harlan County, folks. Justified: City Primeval Season 1 Episode 1 & Justified: City Primeval Season 1 Episode 2 set up our favorite U.S. Marshall for an intense new case, but it's not just the criminal who's new and different.
The fifteen years that have elapsed have mellowed Raylan Givens, and fatherhood has clearly taught him some anger management strategies that hunting criminals never drove home.
In addition, he's working a case in Detroit, so he has no connection with people and no history with the criminal he's hunting while simultaneously trying to supervise a teenage daughter who has a disturbingly poor sense of self-preservation.
The original Justified series managed to plumb the depths of Elmore Leonard's Raylan Givens literary adventures, even inspiring the writer to create a whole new book in 2012 the showrunners then incorporated into the third season.
Despite his son, Peter, penning...

FX’s Justified: City Primeval premiered on Tuesday night with the first two of eight episodes; this is a recap of the premiere episode only.
City Primeval opens with Raylan and his 15-year-old daughter Willa (played by Timothy Olyphant and his daughter Vivian) leaving Florida on a road trip, to deliver the latter to conversion therapy camp after she busted a classmate’s nose. (Mom Winona is on vacation in the Caribbean with… “The ‘Stache”?) When two thugs rear-end Raylan and attempt a carjacking, Raylan grabs a shotgun from the trunk to put a quick end to the nonsense. Stopping...
