Stuart Hall has pleaded not guilty at Preston Magistrates' Court to three counts of indecent assault. The broadcaster has been granted bail but must live at his home Cheshire address and may not have unsupervised contact with children under the age of 17. Asked if he wanted to enter a plea to three separate charges, Hall said: "Yes I do. Not guilty to all three charges." Prosecutor Joanne Cunliffe said that the case should be committed to crown court. Defence lawyer Louise Straw told District Judge Peter Ward there was no objection to this. Hall, who was arrested last month by Lancashire Police, was bailed until April 16 when he will appear at Preston Crown Court. The sports broadcaster is alleged to have felt the breast of a girl aged 16 or 17, between September 1, 1974 and December 31, 1974 in Blackpool. The second charge he faces is of molesting (more)...

Take The Amityville Horror, add a pinch of Session 9 and sprinkle with The Shining, then let it cook for ninety minutes and you have Dream House. Dream House tells the story of Will Atenton (Daniel Craig) and his wife, Libby (Rachel Weisz) who have moved into a new house with their two daughters. Of course in a movie like this, strange things start to happen in the house. One night the youngest daughter sees someone outside the house, voices are heard and there is just an uneasy feeling. One night Will hears voices and decides to investigate. He finds a group of kids in a room in the basement and chases them off. Another night Will and Libby are in the kitchen and see someone outside. Will goes outside, but is unable to find the person. Will decides that it’s time to find out what’s going on...

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz star in Jim Sheridan's promising thriller, Dream House. Here's Ron's review...
Will Atenton (Daniel Craig) is a respected editor at a large New York publisher, but one day he decides he’s had enough of the rat race. With that, he quits his job, boards the train back to Connecticut, and decides that his real goal in life is to become an author. So, Will goes home to his wife Libby (Rachel Weisz), and decides to retire to his dream house, get the renovations over with, and write his novel.
However, there’s one problem with Will Atenton’s dream house, and it’s not his lovely neighbor Ann (Naomi Watts) or her weird ex-husband Jack (Marton Csokas). It’s the fact that one night, after stumbling across an infestation of teenagers in his basement, Will finds out that his house is the scene of a grisly murder.

Dream House is a mystery story that has very little actual mystery, a thriller with few thrills. This stretched-thin, often deeply labored ghost story makes its 85 minutes feel like 12 days as it weaves around situations of suspense and straight up horror. The stellar cast makes the film fun at times, but by the time the obligatory twist rolls around, you won’t care whodunit or why. Successful publisher Will Atenton (Daniel Craig) leaves his career in New York City to relocate his wife, Libby (Rachel Weisz), and two girls to a quaint Connecticut town to write a novel. But as they settle into their new life, they discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her children, and the entire town believes it was at the hands of the husband, Peter Ward, who survived. When Will investigates the tragedy, his only lead comes from Ann Paterson...

New 'Dream House' movie delivered very interesting thrills, drama & twists. Universal Pictures released their new drama/thriller flick "Dream House" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, I thought it was pretty entertaining. It got off to a bit of a slow start, but it was necessary for the buildup and plot. The movie stars: Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Marton Csokas, Elias Koteas, and Jane Alexander. In the flick, character Will Atenton/Peter Ward (Daniel Craig) and his family appear to be living a happy life in a nice little house in the woods, but as well all know, things aren't always as they appear, especially in this movie. As the movie progresses, Will starts witnessing strange events with the neighbors and other kids in the neighborhood, which lead to him finding out that a family was killed in the house that he lived in.

Dream House is fucking terrible.
That may be one of the more damning lines I've ever used to open a review. But it's true, and I don't really see any reason to hold back. This is a hopelessly lost film that's just as brain damaged as its main protagonist. It's completely nonsensical garbage that was mangled by horrible decisions by Morgan Creek Productions, a company so vapidly senile that they thought it a good idea to seize the film from director Jim Sheridan, hacked it to stupidity, and release a product so groan inducing, so pitifully awful, that Jim Sheridan, as well as main talent Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz, all jumped ship and refused to do press for the film.
It's that bad.

Dream House begins innocently enough. Daniel Craig is Will, a book editor who is leaving his job to begin life in his Dream House spending more time with his family and writing a novel.
Will is married to Libby (Rachel Weisz), and the couple has two young girls. Their Dream House is a fixer upper and Weisz has already begun the work when Craig comes home from his last day at work. Their chemistry is electric, which is not always the case with real life couples.
The first signs of fear come from Will’s children, who notice someone gazing into their window at night. Soon after, Will learns there was a gruesome murder in the home and sets in motion a psychological game of Twister that we wish had culminated in an “ah-ha” moment as we experienced in a film of a similar vein, The Others.

Dream House
Directed by: Jim Sheridan
Cast: Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts
Running Time: 1 hr 32 mins
Rating: PG-13
Release Date: September 30, 2011
Plot: Soon after moving into their perfect house, a family learns of a brutal crime committed against people who used to live there.
Who’S It For? Hmmm… that’s a really good question. I think there could be someone out there that would enjoy this psychological thriller, but it’s not horror fans, or fans of good movies.
Expectations: They were low, and I’ll get to that in my review.
Overall
Dream House attempts to answer a question no one was asking. How long can a twist ending last? Most films save a twist ending until, well, the end. Dream House decides to embark on a different path. Unfortunately the result feels like a film that had 46 minutes of stuff to say. Please keep in mind...

"Dream House" isn't just the movie set where Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz got it on -- it's also a horror movie in which Mr. Bond plays Will, a decent family man who moves with his wife and two daughters from New York City to a small house in New England.
As with all home purchases in horror movies, it turns out the place may have been the site of some nasty murdery-type business, and it's up to Will and his neighbor Ann (Naomi Watts) to get to the bottom of things. Check out these three clips for a little jolt of the fear vibes this fright flick is giving off.
1. Will and Libby try to figure out what scared the girls. "See girls, there's nothing to be afraid of, nothing at OHmyGODInHEavENHoLY ...!!!!"
2. Libby asks Will who Peter Ward is. She also finds the stag films he had hidden in the basement.

The first preview clip from director Jim Sheridan's (Brothers) new psychological thriller, Dream House, was big on mystery — "Who is Peter Ward?" — but lacked any real thrills or chills. That oversight has been remedied in the latest two preview clips from the movie, which stars Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz as Will and Libby Atenton, a loving couple who, along with their two girls (played by Claire and Taylor Geare), relocated from New York City to a small town in New England only to find that their "dream house" was once the sight of a gruesome murder and that they are now the killer's next victims. If you startle easily, you may not want to watch these clips at work, in a library, or in a quiet coffee shop.

Find out this Friday when Jim Sheridan’s horror/thriller “Dream House” opens its doors. Until then, here are three clips from the movie to get you started. Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts star in Dream House, a suspense thriller about a family that unknowingly moves into a home where several grisly murders were committed…only to find themselves the killer’s next target. We got the first trailer and poster for the upcoming film Dream House back in July, and though the trailer would appear to be somewhat spoiling the plot, it was a great look at the film, and the poster is fantastic.
Now, courtesy of Yahoo, we’ve got our first clip from the film outside of the trailer, showing Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz clearing up after some kids they find squatting in their basement.
The basic premise of the film, spoiler-free, is fairly generic as thriller/horrors go, with a family – Craig, Weisz, and their two daughtes – moving into a new home and finding out that its past inhabitants were brutally murdered. But I must admit that I do quite like the look of the trailer, as free from spoilers as it isn’t, and I’m quite looking forward to seeing the film.

After uncooperative weather conditions in Toronto and Daniel Craig's busy schedule conspired against the intended February release date of director Jim Sheridan's (Brothers) new movie, Dream House, the psychological thriller will finally debut in theaters next week. The story centers around a loving couple (played by Craig and his real-life wife, Rachel Weisz) and their two daughters (Claire and Taylor Geare) who trade the hustle and bustle of New York City for a quiet life in a small town in New England. However, they soon discover that their "dream house" has a dark secret, one that could come back to haunt them. The theatrical trailer for the movie raised many questions about the house, its history and the sanity of Craig's character, but the new preview clip that was just released distills the entire mystery down to one question: "Who is Peter Ward?"

Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz move into their Dream House and as we see in a newly released clip from the film, maybe the word “dream” should be replaced with “nightmare.”
The new clip from the Universal Pictures film takes us inside the new home of Weisz and Craig as they find that everything dreamy about their home may have a sinister past.
Movie Fanatic would see anything Daniel Craig stars in, and Rachel Weisz as well for that matter. Witnessing the real-life couple as an onscreen couple with a haunted house-feeling film is giving us chills already.

The Whistleblower
Directed by Larysa Kondracki
Canada, Germany, United States 2010
A straightforward thriller that is, at times, and not to its detriment, more Hostel than it is Alan Pakula-style paranoia piece, The Whistleblower effectively keeps its politics in the murky background. As opposed to recent political thrillers like Fair Game, Larysa Kondracki’s film instead chooses a structure that is more harrowing and personal, than one rooted in espionage and cross-continental criminal affairs.
Rachel Weisz is Kathryn Bolkovac, a mid-western cop who takes a security post in Bosnia in order to make enough money to move near her daughter and estranged husband. Bolkovac quickly ascends the ladder once her moral code is on full display for her superior Madeleine Rees (Vanessa Redgrave). In the position to make a real change in the region, Bolkovac quickly uncovers a human-trafficking ring involving domestic troops, Un soldiers and other politicos. With the...

The Whistleblower
Directed by: Larysa Kondracki
Cast: Rachel Weisz, Vanessa Redgrave, David Strathairn, Monica Bellucci
Running Time: 1 hr 57 mins
Rating: R
Release Date: August 12, 2011
Plot: The true story of Kathryn Bolkovac (Weisz), a former Nebraska cop who worked for the U.N as a peacekeeper in Bosnia and uncovered a sex trafficking ring involving U.N employees.
Who’S It For? This is for those who enjoy dramas driven entirely by drama, and also like a little politics with their tension.
Expectations: I hadn’t heard much about this movie, but I assumed that it might be something like last year’s Fair Game, which I didn’t like as much as Jeff Bayer did. I was hoping whatever “whistle-blowing” was happening would be preceded by a tense story.

Human trafficking is second only to drug dealing as the world's most profitable criminal enterprise, but it ranks first in the most heinous because unlike illegal drugs, the actual product being bought and sold are human beings, more than 80% of which are women and girls.
This grim fact is examined in The Whistleblower, the real-life story of a female U.N. peacekeeper who uncovers a sex trafficking network in post-war Bosnia that shocked the world.
In 1999 Nebraska, police officer Kathryn Bolkovac (Rachel Weisz) is struggling to maintain a relationship with her young daughter. After losing custody to her ex-husband, and facing a financial strain to move closer to her, Bolkovac learns about a lucrative job with a private Blackwater-type military contractor. For one year's work as a Un peacekeeper, she can earn $100,000, tax-free.
Warning: Some spoilers
Arriving in Sarajevo, Bolkovac quickly learns the brutal realities and chaos of post-war Bosnia.

Let's play word association: intern + texting = ____. Setting up a date? Skipping out on work? Sexting? At Ibm, how about saving millions of lives?
A new initiative called SMS for Life, born from the minds of a group of Ibm's Extreme Blue interns and pharmaceutical company Novartis, uses cell phones, texting and an e-mapping Web site to track and manage the supply malaria-fighting drugs in Africa. The disease, carried by mosquitoes, kills nearly one million Africans each year--mostly pregnant women and small children. Many people die because the medicine distribution system is poorly managed, causing many villages to simply lack the necessary medication due to poor planning and limited availability.
The five-month pilot program is currently being tested in three diverse districts in in Tanzania, containing more than 130 villages and a total population of more than a million residents. Each week, health-care workers receive automated text messages reminding them to check their stock of anti-malarial drugs.
