Though the absence of a mainline Fast and Furious film has left us with a car-shaped hole in the summer blockbuster schedule, it definitely looks like the upcoming spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, will provide more than enough high-octane action and crazy car chases to fill the gap.
For those unfamiliar with the project, it’ll focus on Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw as they team up alongside new players like Vanessa Kirby, Eiza Gonzalez, Eddie Marsan, Stephanie Vogt and, of course, Idris Elba, who’s going to be the villain of the piece. It’s an incredible cast, to be sure, but it seems that there’s one person who Universal’s been hiding in the shadows, hoping to keep his involvement a secret until the film hits theaters.
As you likely surmised by the title, we’re talking about none other than Kevin Hart.

Though the absence of a true Fast and Furious movie has unfortunately left a car-shaped hole in the summer blockbuster schedule, it looks as if the upcoming spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw will give moviegoers more than enough action and thrills to fill the gap.
In case you haven’t been keeping up, the pic features Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw as they team up alongside new players like Vanessa Kirby, Eiza Gonzalez, Eddie Marsan, Stephanie Vogt and, of course, Idris Elba, who’s playing the big bad of the piece. It’s an enviable cast, but it seems that Universal has plans to expand the franchise beyond just the titular Hobbs and Shaw.

Though the absence of a true Fast and Furious movie leaves a car-shaped hole in the summer blockbuster schedule, it’s looking increasingly likely that series spinoff Hobbs and Shaw will provide enough thrills to fill the gap. The film is directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2).

It’s been a painful year for the team at Section 20.
Sinclair is dead. Conrad Knox still has three nuclear devices. Scott’s got a deadly promise to keep. And Stonebridge still has a score he needs to settle.
Cinemax’s second season of Strike Back is coming to a close, with our last two-part mission of 2012. If last year’s season finale is a telling sign, then we can look forward to a few new twists that could flip our expectations on their back.
Editor’S Pick: Cinemax Signs on for Strike Back Season 3
Right now, Knox appears to be our deadliest threat. Stonebridge and Scott recovered one of the nuclear weapons, but Knox still has three in his possession.
However, over the past few episodes Christy Bryant (Stephanie Vogt), Scott’s CIA contact, appears to be the real puppet master in Zimbabwe. She manipulated Knox into assassinating Walter Lutulu.
