Looking for something to really set your Halloween party offerings apart from the pack? Janine Lister has such sights to show you...
Combining her love of horror movies and cake decorating, Janine has created a set of Hellraiser cupcakes that are worth risking a visit from the Cenobites to obtain.
"I set up my sinister selection to provide cakes for those of us out there who want a change from the mainstream cakes and want macabre, bloody and, as people have said, “sick” cakes.
I decided to make Hellraiser cupcakes because when I was younger it was one of the films which scared me and introduced me to horror. The imagery in Hellraiser perfectly adapts itself to cupcake design and is easily identifiable. I have previously made cupcakes for many other films, which were simple images from the films on discs of icing atop a delicious layer of buttercream, but...

They're out of this world, out of control and out to get you...at least according to the new and extremely early piece of teaser artwork for 'Cute Little Buggers'. The new British comedy horror project from director Tony Jopia has been inspired by classic little creature features from the past such as 'Critters' and 'Gremlins' but has the added bonus of a third dimension as the feature will hit theatres in 3D. The UK quad poster, shown below, features a couple of furry claws scratching along the title and just hinting at what the little buggers will look like. The movie stars Caroline Monroe, Joe Egan, Kristofer Dayne, Gary Martin, John R. Walker, Dani Thompson, Jess Jantschek, Samar Sarila, Jo Price, Sarah Bennett and Leslie Grantham and it'll land in UK theatres from 1 June 2014....

We've had Gremlins, Ghoulies, Critters, Little Monsters, and even Spookies (though we're still not entirely sure just what the hell that one was about); and now we have Cute Little Buggers heading our way! In 3D of course!
The Hollywood News reports that Tony Jopia (Deadtime, Crying Wolf) is readying the ’80s inspired grisly British comic-horror flick Cute Little Buggers 3D starring Caroline Monroe, Joe Egan, Kristofer Dayne, Gary Martin, John R. Walker, Dani Thompson, Jess Jantschek, Samar Sarila, Jo Price, Sarah Bennett and Leslie Grantham.
The flick, described as Gremlins meets Hot Fuzz set in the English countryside, is set for release in June 2014.
Synopsis
After hostile aliens crash land on local farmland, the villagers at the summer ball get suspicious when young women start going missing. The villagers soon band together around our hero Melchoir (Kristofer Dayne) to fend off the invaders and bring back peace to the sleepy English countryside!

As Women in Horror Month (Wih) quickly approaches, there has been some outcry regarding the recently released video entitled “Women in Horror”. The creators of this controversial video, presented by Gore Zone UK Magazine, provided their own interpretation of the value of women in the genre. And therein lies the rub.
For those not in the know, you can read all about the major complaints about the video here, where Fangirltastic’s Heidi Honeycutt and Wih Founder Hannah Nuerotica explain their specific issues with the released video. Along with the obvious concerns, the release of this “Wih tribute” brings up a much more important issue that shows a dark underbelly regarding where women actually stand in this world, how they feel about themselves in relation to a patriarchal society (and how men relate to the women relating to them), and even gives some insight into how they can overcome it.
