With the release of Still Wakes the Deep less than a month away, developer The Chinese Room and publisher Secret Mode have revealed the voice cast for the game in a new mini documentary. The cast includes Alec Newman (Cyberpunk 2077), who will be voicing the main protagonist, Cameron “Caz” McLeary, and Neve McIntosh as Suze, Caz’s wife.
“The thing was so well written, and so well-conceived, that I don’t recall having very long conversations about what Caz should sound like,” says Newman, discussing what struck him about Still Wakes the Deep. “With this, you can feel the writing, you can feel the characters.”
Alongside Newman and McIntosh, the full cast for Still Wakes the Deep includes Karen Dunbar, Michael Abubakar, Clive Russell, Shaun Dooley, Stewart Scudamore, Nicholas Boulton, Duncan Pow, Sandy Batchelor, Alan Turkington, and Noof Ousellam.
Taking place in 1975, disaster has struck the Beira D oil rig off the coast of Scotland.

Fans of the Netflix fantasy series The Witcher should be filled with glee right now. After all, the world's biggest streaming service has axed a lot of fantasy shows in the last few years, including well-received ones like Shadow & Bone and Warrior Nun.
But The Witcher proved too popular to purge, due in part to the massive star appeal of Henry Cavill as the lead character, monster hunter Geralt of Rivia. And while fans of other fantasy shows are mourning their cancellations, The Witcher has been confirmed for two more seasons.
But its fans are more nervous than excited.

In spite of his leading-man Hollywood cred, Henry Cavill is a self-proclaimed fantasy nerd. He campaigned hard for the role of Geralt and was open about his passion for the story. But creative differences soon caused friction on set, especially as the storyline of The Witcher...

It's finally happening: whether you've been waiting for the follow-up to Netflix's The Witcher or not, it's coming, and production is well underway. Without revealing any specific details, Netflix has already started actively promoting the upcoming fourth season.
Recently, the streaming service released a video of a table read that featured the first appearance of none other than the new Geralt of Rivia, Liam Hemsworth, who replaced Henry Cavill.
While many fans don't need lore-friendly explanations for the recasting, the writers seem to be banking on it, but it remains a mystery how exactly it will be accomplished. However, the new actors present at the table read may explain the transition from Cavill to Hemsworth.

Brian Cox rages robustly and arrestingly against the dying of the light in “The Etruscan Smile,” an unabashedly formulaic yet undeniably affecting coming-to-terms drama that may cause as much discomfort as delight for those who recognize bits and pieces of their own fathers (or themselves) in the cantankerous character Cox portrays so persuasively.
Based on the novel “La Sonrisa Etrusca” by José Luis Sampedro, with the original narrative transported from Milan to Scotland and San Francisco by co-writers Michael McGowan, Michael Lali Kagan and Sarah Bellwood, the film focuses primarily on Rory MacNeil (Cox), an irascible septuagenarian who initially seems content to spend his twilight years on the remote Hebrides Island where his family has lived for generations. Trouble is, he fears that, given his noticeably declining health, he may not have many years left. And he’ll be damned if he’s going to die before Campbell (Clive Russell...

The network on Friday released the first full-length trailer for Catherine the Great, which finds the Academy Award-winning actress stepping into the role of the strong, seductive empress.
Per HBO, the four-part drama — which premieres Monday, Oct. 21 at 10/9c — is “set against the politically tumultuous and sexually charged court of Russian empress Catherine the Great who wielded supreme power throughout Russia for nearly half of the 18th century.”

"It's time to wake up and smell the justice." Lionsgate has debuted an official trailer for a lighthearted indie comedy titled Supervized, from Ireland about senior superheroes now living in a retirement home. Yes it looks as goofy and extremely cheesy as it sounds so watch out. The set of elderly superheroes include Tom Berenger as Maximum Justice, Beau Bridges as Shimmy, Fionnula Flanagan as Madera Moonlight, and Louis Gossett Jr. as Total Thunder. The full cast also includes Clive Russell, Fiona Glascott, Ned Dennehy, Elya Baskin, and John Kavanagh. The four ageing heroes come together for one last hurrah, as always happens. It reminds me a bit of Mystery Men, with a few old fogey superheroes in that film, too. This doesn't look so good, which explains why it's headed straight to VOD for release. Give it a look anyway. Here's the first official trailer for Steve Barron's Supervized,...

The BBC’s upcoming Dracula reimagining has announced a batch of new cast members, and it seems showrunners Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have brought with them some old co-stars from past TV series they’ve worked on.
Sherlock fans who were already looking forward to the drama, as it’s being positioned as something of a sister show to the hit detective series, will be pleased to find out that Anderson himself, Jonathan Aris, is joining the cast. Aris starred on all four seasons of Sherlock as the forensics expert who has a rivalry with Benedict Cumberbatch’s sleuth.
Sacha Dhawan is also signing up for the Victorian-set supernatural drama. Best know to audiences as Davos in Marvel’s Iron Fist, the actor also has Sherlock pedigree as he was the killer in season 4’s “The Six Thatchers.” Alongside Aris and Dhawan, three more stars have been announced as well: Catherine Schell,...

Netflix and BBC will team for a Dracula TV miniseries from Sherlock co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.
Dracula will creep his shadow onto the peak television scene soon enough. Plans from the former Doctor Who mastermind, Steven Moffat, and his co-creator on Sherlock, Mark Gatiss, for a new TV version of Bram Stoker's iconic tome, Dracula, are about to come to fruition.
The Girl in the Spider's Web's Claes Bang will go fang as Dracula himself in the miniseries, a co-production of BBC One and Netflix, set as three 90-minute episodes to air in the UK on the former and stream in the U.S. on the latter. The plan by co-creators Moffat and Gatiss will, according to the official description, “re-introduce the world to Dracula, the vampire who made evil sexy. In Transylvania in 1897, the blood-drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London.

Matthew Goode and Phil Daniels do their best as toughened crims in a story of the real-life 2015 heist, but they can’t rescue this geezer opera from trite tedium
The Hatton Garden safe deposit burglary in 2015 was the largest in English history, carried out by ageing veterans. When news of this caper broke, I – along with every other film journalist in the country – speculated about what the inevitable film version would look like and, in a spasm of sentimental optimism, I even invoked Jonathan Glazer’s masterpiece Sexy Beast, also about a safe deposit job.
A Working Title production with Michael Caine and Jim Broadbent is in the works. In the meantime here is another film – and it’s a most-expense-spared production, ropey and depressing, which fails to keep faith with the grey power ethos by inventing a sexy young crim leader for the older crew: Matthew Goode roughens up his vowels for the part.

Back in 2015, Britain witnessed a robbery that could have been straight out of the movies. It was a throwback crime to the days of the Great Train Robbery of 1963, a crime which made the likes of Buster Edwards and Ronnie Biggs household names. It was only a matter of time before this new story was adapted for the big screen and The Hatton Garden Job is just that film.
The Hatton Garden Job is directed by Tower Block and I Am Soldier writer and director Ronnie Thompson, though looking at the new trailer anyone would think this has a touch of Guy Ritchie about it. The cast is none too shabby either; the gang of aging criminals is lead by Brian Reader who is played by Larry Lamb who may be most recognisable as Gavin’s Dad in Gavin and Stacey. The mighty Brian Cox turned down Game Of Thrones "because they didn't pay enough money"...
Brian Cox (the legendary thesp seen in X-Men 2, Troy and the Bourne franchise; not that star-gazing bloke off the telly) has a varied and mostly-very-good CV. One thing that isn't on it, though, is Game Of Thrones.
As Vodzilla has now found out, HBO did once approach Cox to try and get him on their now-huge bloodbath of a show. Cox now describes himself as a "complete addict" of the show. So why did he turn it down in the first place?
“Stupidly, I turned it down in the early days because they didn’t pay enough money,” Cox told Vodzilla, apparently laughing as he said it. “Now they have more money. And I was silly. I was silly, it was silly, because I’m a complete addict now. But I don...

The Los Angeles-based company will handle international sales on the thriller starring Matthew Goode and Joely Richardson depicting the infamous London jewellery heist in 2015.
Principal photography is underway in and around London for four weeks. Stephen Moyer, Lamb, Clive Russell, Sarah-Jane Crawford, David Calder, Mark Harris, and Phil Daniels round out the key cast.
Ronnie Thompson (Tower Block) directs from a screenplay he wrote with Dean Lines and Ray Bogdanovich. Ben Jacques serves as producer.
The Hatton Garden Job centres on the eight men who carried out the biggest burglary in British history.
The story follows a recently released convict who recruits a team of veteran criminals known as “the bad grandpas” or “the Enfield Expendables”, all aged between 68 and 76 and eager for one final chance at glory. The gang is currently all behind bars.
“We’re excited to work on this wildly interesting project and are confident that the film will resonate the world over,” said...

A siege, enemies forced to cooperate, and a blast from the past arrive in this week's Game Of Thrones season 6 episode, The Broken Man...
This review contains spoilers.
6.7 The Broken Man
Game Of Thrones typically doesn't do cold-openings. The premiere episode had one—remember our introduction to the White Walkers?—and a couple of other episodes have also had them, but when it happens, it's something that you need to pay attention to. This surprise cold opening isn't Tywin Lannister grinning as he forges two Valyrian steel swords, but it's something even better. It's the return of one of the show's most beloved characters, long after he was assumed dead. As if that return isn't enough, he's got a friend with him in the form of Ian McShane playing a septon.
Of course, the returning character (you already know who it is if you're reading this) isn't...

Filming is continuing on the sixth season of HBO's lavish fantasy series "Game of Thrones" and a couple of new tidbits have cropped up at Watchers on the Wall from set reports which offer some Minor Spoilers.
First up it seems Yunkai slaver Razdal (George Georgio), who was seemingly burned to death by Khaleesi's dragon Drogon in the third season, may be back in some way in the new season as the slavers of Yunkai and Meereen will be joining forces.
Also coming back from the third season is Edmure Tully (Tobias Menzies) who will return for scenes set in the Riverlands alongside Brynden the Blackfish (Clive Russell). With Menzies' "Outlander" commitments though, don't expect him to play a huge part this time around.
Next up, a report out of filming in Northern Ireland confirms that Gwendoline Christie's Brienne of Tarth has been sighted shooting scenes set at Riverrun...

*Warning: "Game of Thrones" filming spoilers ahead*
There are actually a few key characters we haven't seen since "Game of Thrones" Season 3 and it sounds like more than one will show up in 2016's Season 6. (Before you get your hopes up, there's been no Ls confirmation.) We'll mention the others below, but first, let's focus on the one that was just "confirmed" by the great spoiler heroes at Watchers on the Wall.
They quoted a new report from Los Siete Reinos, revealing that The Blackfish, aka Brynden Tully (Clive Russell) -- uncle of Catelyn Tully Stark -- is returning in Season 6. The Blackfish managed to escape the carnage at the Red Wedding, and he's apparently picking up the Jaime Lannister Riverrun siege storyline skipped over in the fourth-book-to-tv timeline.
Clive Russell was reportedly seen filming in Corbet, Northern Ireland. In September, Watchers on the Wall had reported that Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau...

As fans are likely aware, Ripper Street was cancelled but was then revived for a third season thanks to a deal with Amazon. Do the ratings on BBC America really matter? Likely not as much as they used to but it's still fun to follow along and see how the show's doing.
This season of Ripper Street picks up four years after Edmund Reid (Matthew Macfadyen), Bennet Drake (Jerome Flynn), and Homer Jackson (Adam Rothenberg) split and isolated themselves from one another. Others in the cast include MyAnna Buring, Charlene McKenna, Clive Russell, David Wilmot, and David Dawson.

The first ever dramatisation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's 1990 novel, Good Omens, is coming to BBC Radio 4...
Here's some news to put a spring in any fantasy fan's step: following the success of 2013's splendid Neverwhere dramatisation, BBC Radio 4 is working its magic on another UK modern classic, Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's 1990 novel Good Omens.
Due to air in six parts over a single week in December 2014, Good Omens comes from the creative team behind Neverwhere, with The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy's Dirk Maggs adapting and directing, assisted by producer Heather Larmour and of course, Neil Gaiman.
It's the first time the co-authored novel, which tells a raucous story of ancient prophecies, impending armageddon, and sushi, has been adapted for radio, with progress on a much-anticipated film version with Terry Gilliam appearing to have stalled for the foreseeable. ‘Thor 2′ box office: ‘The Avengers’ bump not enough to propel Thor into Iron Man, Batman, Spider-Man, or Superman territory (Photo: Tom Hiddleston as Loki in ‘Thor: The Dark World’) Directed by Alan Taylor and starring Chris Hemsworth, Thor 2 — officially Thor: The Dark World — debuted in the U.S. and Canada on Friday, November 7, 2013, collecting an estimated $31.63 million from 3,841 sites, according to figures found at Box Office Mojo. That amount includes an estimated $7.1 million from Thursday evening and Friday midnight shows. Note: More than 3,100 North American theaters are showing Thor 2 in 3D. Needless to say, Thor: The Dark World, which also features Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, and Anthony Hopkins, will far surpass its predecessor at the domestic box office. Directed by Kenneth Branagh, Thor 2011 debuted with $65.72 million. ‘Thor: The Dark World’ box office: ‘The Avengers’ bump to lead to $100 million weekend debut? Not likely (Photo: Chris Hemsworth in ‘Thor: The Dark World’) Thor: The Dark World opened with an estimated $7.1 million from Thursday evening, November 7, 2013, and Friday midnight shows at 3,841 North American theaters — more than 3,100 of those offering the Thor sequel in 3D. Directed by Alan Taylor, and starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston, Thor: The Dark World far surpassed its Kenneth Branagh-directed predecessor at the domestic box office; the first film took in $3.3 million from Friday midnight screenings back in May 2011. (See also: “‘Thor 2′ box office: No Iron Man, Superman, Spider-Man, Batman.”) Now, one should remember that we’re comparing apples and pineapples here: the original Thor didn’t have the advantage of Thursday evening shows; also, the Branagh film was initially screened at only 1,800 locations. A similar distribution set-up also applies to another 2011 Marvel release,...

Are you Team Sif or Team Jane (Are we still doing that?)? It was very briskly teased in the first trailer that Lady Sif may have decisive feelings about Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) Midgard love interest. Who do you think the King of Asgard belongs with? Thor: The Dark World arrives in theaters on November 8, 2013. Neill Blomkamp’s Elysium opened this past weekend, and while it hasn’t received the near-universal acclaim of its predecessor District 9, by most accounts it is pretty good. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get out to see the movie over the weekend, but I plan to see it sometime this week. This week’s new Trailer Trashin’ column takes another look at one of my most anticipated films of the fall, Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World.
Premise: One year after the events of The Avengers, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) battles to save the Nine Realms from a mysterious enemy older than the universe itself. The Dark Elves of Svartalfheim, a primeval race led by Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston), are out for revenge and intend to plunge the universe into darkness. Confronted by an enemy that even Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and Asgard cannot overcome, Thor must reunite with...

Guardians of the Galaxy is a bit of an oddity in the Marvel Universe. Don’t get me wrong, it seems like a cool film and I know it has its loyal fanbase, but compared to the rest of the properties that we’ve been seeing from the comic book juggernaut lately, it’s more of a difficult sell when it comes to attracting mainstream audiences.
Aside from casting news and a bit of speculation, we still don’t know too much about the film and likely won’t for some time. Everyone’s excited to see the first glimpse of footage but with that August 1st, 2014 release date still over a year away, I wouldn’t expect a trailer anytime soon. For now, all we can hope for is that the characters show up in other Marvel films, which seems likely given the company’s history of teasing their...
