Talk about performance anxiety.
Both on- and off-screen, this week’s episode of Outlander has a daunting charge: Bring to life the scene fans of Diana Gabaldon’s books have spent years waiting to see — Jamie and Claire’s reunion in Alexander Malcolm’s print shop — and do it perfectly.
The Frasers’ first hours together in decades have to be fraught, but not depressing. They have to be romantic, but not syrupy. And above all, they have to be sexy — Jamie and his Sassenach do, after all, spend a...

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers for “Outlander” Season 3 Episode 6, “A. Malcolm.”]
Unrequited, Requited Love
Coming face-to-face with the spouse you were forced to give up in battle two decades ago is a pretty unnerving thing — not just emotionally but also physically. Given that Jamie had no clue Claire was about to resurface, it’s no wonder he fainted, but on an even deeper level, these are characters that have supposedly aged 20 years since they last saw each other. The nerves, self-consciousness and innate fear of acceptance that situation would bring are pretty heavy; you’ve been carrying around this memory of a person for all those years. Not only do you want them to see you the same, but you wonder how they’ll look, act and have aged in their wisdom too.
Luckily this is television and both stars are just as pretty naked as they are clothed (Claire dyed her hair and Jamie has glasses, no biggie), so the...

According to reports, Starz have ordered "Outlander" Season 3 and 4, that will adapt author Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" novels "Voyager" and "Drums of Autumn":
New cast will include Gary Young ("Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny") as 'Mr. Willoughby', "a Chinese man with a deep knowledge of Eastern medicine", Charlie Hiett ("The Suspicions of Mr Whincher") as 'Captain Thomas Leonard', a British, "by-the-book" captain of the 'Artemis' who earns the post when his commanding officers die untimely deaths and "...wants to do what is right by the 'British Navy' — whether or not it is right by his own personal morals."
Hannah James and Tanya Reynolds will play the 'Dunsany' sisters 'Geneva' and 'Isobel', David Berry ("A Place to Call Home") is 'Lord John William Grey', the former Brit soldier turned governor of 'Ardsmuir Prison', John Bell ("The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies") as 'Young Ian Murray',...

Starz, in association with Sony Pictures Television, has announced today that two key roles have been cast in Outlander Season 3.
Joining Jamie’s world in the 18th century, John Bell (The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies) will play the role of Young Ian, a nephew of Jamie's.
Joining Claire’s world set in Boston in the 20th Century, Wil Johnson (Waking the Dead) will play her friend and medical colleague, Joe Abernathy.
Young Ian Murray is a tall, gangly Scottish lad with a heart of gold, a stubborn streak and a penchant for getting into trouble. Bursting with charm, he’s more like his adventurous, fierce uncle Jamie Fraser than his farmer father Ian – but when we meet him, he is still a very gawky boy.
However, he keeps trying to prove that he is a man and we will see him grow into quite a formidable one as the series evolves.

We've got a light drizzle during the Droughtlander for you, y'all! While season three of Outlander is still all the way in 2017 (Boo!), we do have some good news for fans of the Starz's hit: two characters for the upcoming third season, which is based on Voyager, the third book of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, have just been cast. John Bell is set to take on the role of Young Ian Murray, while Wil Johnson will play Joe Abernathy, Starz announced on Tuesday. And while they are joining the series together, they likely won't be sharing any screen time as they are appearing in different centuries. Bell's Young Ian is set to join Jamie's (Sam Heughan) world in the...

It’s a brand new episode of “Outlander” and a brand-new format for the recap! When I first started watching this show last year, I was still very green to recapping. Over the last few months, with more shows under my belt, my style has changed. Starting with “The Watch,” it’ll be less play-by-play. But still just as sassy as ever! ****** Last week’s episode ended on a cliffhanger when — after Claire finally declared her love for Jamie — the rules of drama demanded a sacrifice. Thus the Frasers were held at gunpoint in their own home. Luckily “The Watch” is not interested in retreading the same dangers Claire and Jamie have already faced. Especially when there are so many new dangers to pick from! Taran MacQuarrie — henceforth known as Talon because reasons — has come to collect his quarterly shakedown. Not knowing who Jamie is, he assumed his paying customers were being robbed.

Tobias Menzies is helping Starz make the wait for "Outlander's" return a little shorter.
In his Captain Black Jack Randall costume, Tobias introduced the newest sneak peek tease from the network, which features new footage, including a glimpse at Jamie Fraser's brother-in-law Ian Murray, footage of his sister, Jenny and an interesting tease from Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore.
"The final episode of the season will go in a direction a lot of audiences are not expecting," the Ep said in the just-released trailer.

There's a new hunk in the "Outlander" family.
Steven Cree, from Glasgow, Scotland, will play Ian Murray in the series, Starz announced on Thursday.
Ian is the husband of Jamie Fraser's sister, Jenny.

Steven recently did the voice of Young Macintosh in 2012's animated feature, "Brave." He also appeared in "300: Rise of an Empire," and has a role in Angelina Jolie's "Maleficent."

Starz has attracted another hunk to star in its adaptation of Outlander this summer.
Scottish actor Steven Cree (300: Rise of an Empire) will play Ian Murray (Sam Heughan), Jamie’s best friend since childhood. Ian lost part of his leg during battle with the English but that hasn’t held him back.
Cree’s other film credits include The Awakening and voiceover work for Brave.
The series is expected to closely mirror the “Outlander” book, which follows Claire (Caitriona Balfe), a married combat nurse in the 1940s who’s vacationing with her husband (Tobias Menzies) in Scotland. Claire falls...

The Starz series "Outlander" has added another piece to its cast in Laura Donnelly.
Donnelly, who co-starred in ABC's "Missing" in 2012, will play Jenny Fraser Murray in the series based on Diana Gabaldon's novels. The character is the older sister of 18th century Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and runs the family estate, Lallybroch, when Jamie is away. She's married to Jamie's best friend, Ian Murray.
Jenny also has a good relationship -- at least at first -- with Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), the 20th century woman transported back in time and forced into a marriage with Jamie.
Donnelly's other credits include "The Fall," a British minseries distributed on Netflix here, and guest appearances on "Merlin" and "Hex."
"Outlander," executive produced by Ron Moore ("Battlestar Galactica"), is filming in Scotland and is scheduled to premiere in the spring.

High street chain will also pay proceeds from charity singles in full, after accountant Deloitte finishes review of business
The stricken entertainment chain HMV is accepting gift vouchers to pay for products after administrators reversed their original decision .
Accountant Deloitte, which took control of HMV last week, also moved to reassure charities owed money from the sale of charity releases – including the Hillsborough Justice Collective single – that they would be paid "in full as soon as possible".
Nick Edwards, joint administrator for HMV and its Fopp offshoot, said he was pleased to announce that, after the conclusion of an assessment of the business, stores would honour gift cards.
"I can also confirm that all money raised by HMV for various charities will be paid in full. We recognise that both of these matters have caused concern for individuals and organisations affected and are pleased to have reached a positive outcome.
