In its own way, Sol Saks' 1963 sitcom "Bewitched" was a subversive work. Inspired by movies like "I Married a Witch" (1942) and "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" (1957), "Bewitched" followed the everyday, quotidian, brightly-lit travails of a typical white suburban couple named Darrin Stephens and Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery).
The twist was that Samantha was a centuries-old witch, descended from a long line of magic-users. Endora (Agnes Moorehead), Samantha's colorful mother, would occasionally drop in, as would her father Maurice (Maurice Evans from "Planet of the Apes"), and uncle Arthur (legendary comedian Paul Lynde). The witches and warlocks on the show would often attempt to drive a wedge between Samantha and Darrin, but their love would prevail in the end.
Beginning in the show's third season, the Stephens had their first child, Tabitha (Erin Murphy and Diane Murphy). In the sixth season, they were joined by baby Adam (David Lawrence and Greg Lawrence).

2Nd Update, 10:05 Am: A Delaware court judge did not rule in favor of either Fox or Dominion as each side seeks a ruling ahead of the election systems company’s $1.6 billion defamation suit.
During the past two days, attorneys for both sides have asked Judge Eric Davis to rule in their favor on motions for summary judgment, potentially forestalling a trial that is set to begin April 17.
It’s unclear which way Davis will rule on the motions, but he told attorneys Wednesday that he will decide before a scheduled pre-trial hearing on April 11 “so you know how to narrow certain issues.”

The Waltons is a classic American drama that ran for nine seasons on television throughout the 1970s and 1980s, with a number of television specials in the early 1990s. The show helped make some of the actors household names, including Richard Thomas, who played John-Boy Walton.

However, many of the child actors on the show have spoken out in recent years to let the world know that they were not adequately compensated for their work on the show, leading many of them to have a lower net worth than other child actors of the era and find work outside of Hollywood since the end of the series.

Hollywood awoke today to the sad news that Eight Is Enough star Adam Rich was gone too soon at age 54.
Mourners posted about the hairstyle that launched a thousand imitators and how he was a TV presence in their childhood. But those who knew him best also focused on his kindness and caring in his adult years, even as he struggled to overcome various issues in his life.
Particularly notable was the outpouring from fellow child stars of his vintage, who perhaps knew all too well about what massive early attention can do to the rest of your life.
A few of the early reactions:

TV Reboots aren't going anywhere. Last season saw the re-arrival of Will & Grace and Roseanne, while this year's new addition is Last Man Standing. But then there are the true reboots (taking show concepts and bringing them back with updated premises and new casts), like Hawaii 5-0, MacGyver, and S.W.A.T., and this year's Magnum, P.I. and Charmed. Now comes word that one of the most beloved sitcoms from the 1960s — and one that is still enjoying life in reruns — is being given another shot at life, Bewitched. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) The premise of the show is that on her wedding night, Samantha Stevens (Elizabeth Montgomery) reveals to her new husband, Darrin (Dick York), that she is, in fact a witch. Initially feeling betrayed, Darrin ultimately realizes that he loves her deeply and they try to settle down into a normal domestic life. Fat chance! From 1964-72, Samantha promised not to use witchcraft,...

Tabitha Stephens is celebrating a big birthday today, though age 50 is probably not over-the-hill territory for a half-witch. It was 50 years ago today that “Bewitched” aired the episode “And Then There Were Three,” when Samantha and Darrin’s baby girl, Tabitha, is born. “Bewitched” star Elizabeth Montgomery was pregnant off-camera too during the show’s second season: her second son was born in October of 1965. On many TV shows, the birth of a baby has marked the beginning of the end of the show, as the young newcomer shatters the chemistry of the original cast or dilutes the a show’s premise. Not so for “Bewitched.” Viewers loved Tabitha and all the delightful storylines brought on by a child discovering her powers in a mortal home. The show ultimately aired for eight seasons. After several babies portrayed the growing Tabitha, Erin Murphy played the Stephens daughter for six years on the hit ’60s sitcom.

This past weekend at the Hilton Universal City, hundreds of stars gathered to meet and greet fans, and reunite with old friends at the HollywoodXpo. For Trekkies the highlight of the event was the Star Trek: Of Gods and Men Internet series cast reunion. Personally, we preferred a few other star spottings—The Brady Bunch's Susan Olsen, Bewitched's Erin Murphy, Happy Days' Erin Moran, and Lost in Space's June Lockhart and Mark Goddard.
We asked some of the celebrities why they come to these kinds of events. Replies ranged from selfless charitable giving to a deep respect for their fans to a simple need to earn some cash.
We asked Susan Olsen, who played Cindy (the youngest one in curls) on The Brady Bunch, why she likes to do these kind of shows and she joked, "I actually don't. I really don't like these things.

Speaking of Bradys, we were excited to meet one of our favorite childhood TV stars recently, Susan Olsen who played Cindy on “The Brady Bunch.” And our enthusiasm quickly turned to inspiration when Susan told us about a cause near and dear to her heart—Precious Paws animal rescue.
Long before she got involved with the organization, Olsen has been saving kittens as an official Bottle Baby foster parent. She explained that process to us, “I would take in the little teeny-tiny kittens and puppies, although it’s almost 99% kittens that come in. And sometimes they don’t have their eyes open and they may still have their umbilical cords. They’re these little things that get left in front of the door at night. Dancing with the Stars
If this show does one thing well, it would be casting the widest possible net of celebrities and, um, “celebrities” known to film, television, stage, sports, and train-wreck reality shows. This time around, we’ve even got a “political” daughter.
Here’s the cast for this season: David Hasselhoff, Michael Bolton, Brandy, Margaret Cho, Rick Fox (NBA), Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing!), Florence Henderson (Mrs. Brady is 76-years- old!), Kyle Massey (Disney kid), Bristol Palin (Alaska’s fav?), Audrina Partridge (The Hills), Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, and Kurt Warner (NFL).
I have to say, the ladies were the standouts this week. Brandy and Audrina were pretty good, and Jennifer Grey was phenomenal. There was a touching moment when they showed her in rehearsal as she was learning the steps to a Dirty Dancing song and she broke down, remembering Patrick Swayze.

Danny Bonaduce, Dennis Rodman and Dustin Screech Diamond are heading into the ring to compete in CMT's upcoming reality series Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling.
Also on board are Todd Bridges (Diff'rent Strokes), super-heavyweight boxer ButterBean, Trishelle Cannatella (The Real World), Erin Murphy (Tabitha Stephens on Bewitched), Frank Stallone, '80s pop star Tiffany and Playboy playmate Nikki Ziering.
In addition, professional wrestling manager Jimmy Hart has joined Hogan and former World Championship Wrestling president Eric Bischoff as judges on the show, in which the contestants will compete to be named "Celebrity All-Star Wrestling Champion" based on their performance in various challenges that will include mastering complex wrestling moves, talking trash and working a live audience. The cast also will be coached by former pro wrestlers Brutus The Barber Beefcake and Brian Knobbs.
Production is under way in Los Angeles for a fall premiere. The eight-episode series is based on an original concept by exec producers Hogan, Bischoff and Jason Hervey.

This becomes quite difficult thanks to interference from mother-in-law Endora (Agnes Moorehead) and the later arrival of children Tabitha (Erin Murphy) and Adam (Greg and David Lawrence). The sitcom ran for 254 episodes and eight seasons, ending on July 1, 1972.
The series has long held a warm spot in the hearts of viewers and has inspired several spin-offs over the years. In December 1972, an odd animated...
