An Ohio woman is accused of murdering her husband and living with his dismembered remains in their home for months, investigators confirm to People.
On Saturday, authorities discovered the suspected remains of 54-year-old Howard Eubank after his adult son notified police, Inspector Bill Holland of the Summit County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio tells People.
Eubank’s decomposing remains has been put in separate containers around the Coventry Township, Ohio, home he shared with wife Marcia Eubank, 49.

Like a fine wine, these babes only get better with age! In honor of their motto, "Once a Playmate, always a Playmate," Playboy asked seven Playmates of the Year to recreate their iconic covers from decades ago. The results were not only incredible, but they proved that it's not just wisdom that comes with age...apparently beauty, sass and sexiness do, too. Stars like Chills Jordan, Lisa Miller and even Kimberly Conrad—whose son, Cooper Hefner, runs the publication these days—all reveled they can still strike a pose with the best of 'em. They also dished on their time working for the publication. For example, Conrad, 54—who was married to Hugh Hefner for quite...

The results are in from the 2013 National Dog Show presented by Purina. The winner of Best in Show is the American Fox Hound -- a beautiful girl named Jewel. Handler Lisa Miller says afterward, "Nobody ever pays much attention to them. I wanted the world to stand up and take notice of this breed." We don't think that'll be a problem after today.
But let's see how we got there:
The Hound group saw the American Fox Hound being picked as Best in Group.
The Working group saw the judge actually picking Best in Group without even making a cut. The Standard Schnauzer was picked as Best in Group to advance to the finals.
The Toy group saw the Pekinese win Best in Group -- this little fella has won 35 Best in Shows, so he's quite the decorated show dog.
The Sporting group judge named Irish Water Spaniel, which is...

With some of the major networks' fall shows scheduled to go into production as soon as July, the process of hiring casting directors has begun in earnest. Due to their generally lower cost and smaller scale, the comedies tend to gear up first, and several CDs have already put pen to paper.Among those sticking with their pilots are Lisa Miller Katz, who will be casting "Don't Trust the Bitch at Apartment 23" for ABC (she's also doing the TBS comedy "Wedding Band," for which she also cast the pilot); Tim Payne and Lisa Ystrom, who are sticking with "Suburgatory" for ABC (good move, at least judging from the trailer); Koczara/Shevchenko, who are doing ABC's "Work It" (all two episodes of it before it gets canceled); Susie Farris, who has signed on to "Whitney" for NBC; Anya Colloff, who will cast CBS's "How to Be a Gentleman" sans former partner Amy.

With the great evangelist in his twilight, his children are jostling over his image and the family name. In this week's Newsweek, Lisa Miller reports on the younger Grahams' politics, infighting-and efforts to protect their father from the press.
Billy Graham was upstairs, napping. In the kitchen of the mountaintop home where he and his wife, Ruth, raised their five children, the table was set for lunch. Except for a flickering candle on that table and the exuberant pacing of two large dogs named China and Lars, the house was still, as empty as a museum after hours. The walls-witness to so many squabbles and pranks, prayers and hymns, private conversations with would-be presidents, rock stars, and prizefighters-did not speak.

No, said his son Franklin.

"Thou shalt not overspend" is rapidly becoming a tenet of the evangelical belief system, rivaling social issues like gay marriage. Can the gospel of thrift save our economy?
The priorities of white evangelical Christians, about 60 million strong, have driven the culture wars for decades. It was they who formed the Moral Majority in the 1970s, which helped elect Ronald Reagan in a landslide in 1980. And it was their children-some of them, anyway-who strayed from their parents' interpretations of faith and helped elect Barack Obama in 2008. Politically active, evangelicals have fought with varying degrees of success against abortion, same-sex marriage, and the teaching of evolution in public schools.

Between long work hours, birthday parties, and haircuts, mothers can seem furious all the time. In this week's Newsweek, Lisa Miller says planning the family vacation feels like the last straw.
"Why are working mothers so furious all the time?" I was asked recently. An answer, not entirely rational, springs to mind: "Personally, I could use a travel agent." It's a joke, sort of. School vacation is coming up. I'm swamped at work, and trip planning has become a time-consuming hell. A simple family vacation requires innumerable visits to destination websites; a suspicious scouring of rankings and reviews; and, at the heart-stopping final moment, a purchase on a site where prices and availability seem to change by the second. In the old days, it was simple. A woman would call a travel agent, and voilà! The trip would be booked. Now agents charge $35 a ticket. Don't get me started on fees.

Two new books argue that the good book isn't the squeaky-clean endorsement of no-sex-until-marriage that conservatives say it is. In this week's Newsweek, Lisa Miller reports on the surprise findings.
The poem describes two young lovers aching with desire. The obsession is mutual, carnal, complete. The man lingers over his lover's eyes and hair, on her teeth, lips, temples, neck, and breasts, until he arrives at "the mount of myrrh." He rhapsodizes. "All of you is beautiful, my love," he says. HollywoodNews.com: “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” film director Edgar Wright sat down with Bryan Lee O’Malley–the creator of the original series of graphic novels–at Movie-Con this weekend to talk about the process of bringing the comic hero to life.
Throughout filming, Wright and O’Malley stayed in contact to ensure the most faithful possible adaptation. “I was given the book in 2004, and when we wrote the first draft of the script only three books had been published but we’d picked Bryan’s brains about the other three,” explains Wright. “So over a five year period…we went in tandem.”
One of the more interesting and unique challenges presented with adapting the novels was the question of what Scott’s band, Sex Bob-Omb–along with the several competing bands featured–actually sounds like. “We sent mix tapes back in forth like we were dating and fell in love,...

Hey gang! Here's a cool little short animated video from Adult Swim called Scott Pilgrim Vs. The Animation that gives us a glimpse at the early days of Scott Pilgrim. The four-minute short centers on Scott’s high-school relationship with Kim Pine.
Michael Cera and Alison Pill reprise their roles from the movie and provide the voices for Scott and Kim while Mae Whitman, who plays evil-ex Roxy Richter in the movie, voices Lisa Miller and Jason Schwartzman, who plays evil-ex Gideon Gordon Graves, voices Simon Lee.
This is a pretty fun animated short so enjoy!

A week ago we brought you the first look at Scott Pilgrim vs the Animation, a short flashback to the early days of Scott Pilgrim's life, as produced by [adult swim]. Now the entire short is online, and you can see it embedded below. To recap what the short is about: Early in the second volume of the graphic novel series, we get a flashback to Scott’s high school career, where he meets Lisa Miller, who has a minor part in the fourth book, and Kim Pine, who eventually becomes the drummer in Scott’s band Sex Bob-Omb. (We see a different recollection of this scene in the recently-released sixth volume, but that's something that remains exclusively on the page.) This short animates the volume 2 flashback, and as you can see, is based very much on the art of Bryan Lee O’Malley. As in the film (released today; read ...

If there was ever a doubt in your mind why Adult Swim would ask Universal, "Scott Pilgrim" writer Bryan Lee O'Malley and film director Edgar Wright for permission to make an animated short based on material from the novels that was left out of the live-action film, all you have to do is watch a new commercial promoting the short that confesses "Adult Swim wants to marry ['Scott Pilgrim']."
Adult Swim producer Jason DeMarco spoke with /Film about how he and his coworkers came up with the idea to animate a flashback from volume two of "Scott Pilgrim" that will air on the network separately between two commercial breaks on August 12 between 12 and 12:30 Am.
"Being huge fans of the comic, and very excited about the film, we asked if we could produce an animated short in the style of the comic," DeMarco said. "The filmmakers and Bryan Lee O’Malley were into the idea,...

A few weeks ago I got news of a pretty cool little project: as part of the promotional efforts for Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Universal approached [adult swim] about making something related to the film. The idea concocted by the folks at the network was to animate a piece of one of Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novels that didn't end up in Edgar Wright's movie. Universal, Wright and O'Malley all got behind the idea, and the result is a four-minute animated short that illustrates the beginning of the friendship between Scott Pilgrim and Kim Pine. I got a look at the nearly-completed short during Comic Con, and now we can show you a clip from the finished project. Early in the second volume of the graphic novel series, we get a flashback to Scott's high school career, where he meets Lisa Miller, who has a minor part in the fourth book,...

When actors think of investments, visions of dollar signs tend to flash before their eyes. But true investments take many different forms. Some of the best career moves you can make are less about money and more about critical thinking, savvy strategy, and a willingness to take chances. Below, a few ideas….1. Build the right team. It's an exciting day when you land representation for the first time. But don't get hung up on merely nabbing an agent. You want to nab the agent who's right for you. "I think you're looking for an agent that's going to be proactive, that's going to have an overall commitment to you and what you bring to the table," says agent Pam Sparks of Sbv Talent. Don't forget to thoroughly research an agent and his or her company before you sign, and don't be afraid to ask your own questions if you're called in for a meeting.

The Newsweek cover story this week is entitled "Sarah Palin: What Palin's Appeal to Conservative Christian Women Says about Feminism and the Future of the Religious Right." Last night, Bill O'Reilly asked if the piece was "a slam or compliment" and had on as guest Lisa Miller, the writer who penned the story, to discuss Sarah Palin and her unique impact on feminism.

I like summer. I like hot weather and I like the sun despite the fact that my 100% Northern European heritage means I can't be in the sun longer than five minutes without wearing Spf 1,000 or something ridiculous. Also I've thus far managed to avoid becoming a real adult so summer also means a lot of time for extra naps and sleeping in. However, summer is rather depressing in terms of entertainment options, and while I appreciate the fact that my job here is getting progressively easier as we move into summer, I feel bad that there's really not much in the way of good television. Here are the offerings for Wednesday night:
8:00pm: "So You Think You Can Dance" on Fox
"Tyler Perry's House of Payne" on TBS
"NHL Stanley Cup Finals: Game #3" on Versus Network. Special presentation.
"Web Soup" on G4
"Weird or What?" on Discovery

Lisa Miller Katz lives for those moments of discovery, those special auditions when she knows an actor's nailed a part. "When you see it in your office, and then you bring it to someone else's office and they see it, it's great," she says. "Those moments are so exciting." The veteran casting director has experienced plenty of those moments over the years, having worked on such monster hits as "Everybody Loves Raymond," "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," and "The King of Queens." More recently, she cast the freshman series "Accidentally on Purpose," the comedic feature "Fired Up," and the NBC pilot "This Little Piggy."Puzzle PiecesI was an actor in high school but not in college. I think I realized that I didn't really have the talent. I majored in communication arts—I knew I wanted to do something in the industry. My second job out of school, I was...

I absolutely adore 24 and as a die-hard fan I think it's a brilliant show. It not only revolutionized television with its real-time format, but has been consistently entertaining since day one. Kiefer Sutherland was already somewhat of a star when the series premiered, but he became a household name synonymous with his character Jack Bauer, a hard as nails government agent out to protect the innocent and seek justice at the cost of his own life. I'm just as sorry as any fan to see the show go after eight seasons, but I'm also relieved. 24 has grown more than a little tired over the years, with story-lines and plot devices that have become incredibly familiar. That's because much of what we see has occurred before and every story line, plot thread or turn of events feels directly copied from previous seasons. Jack and his colleagues not only find themselves in the same situations,...

This had to happen. I hoped that word would 'slip out' during the "Spotlight on Bryan Lee O'Malley" panel today at Comic Con. That didn't happen, as the panel focused more on O'Malley's art and history (entirely appropriate, really) but Attack of the Show broke the news, so it's out in the wild. Hooray! UbiSoft is making a Scott Pilgrim video game to coincide with the release of Edgar Wright's film. It's a downloadable side-scrolling old-school beat-em-up. Sounds like a good way to get some of the scenes that didn't make it into the film onto screens anyway. This is a 'soft' announcement; expect more details from UbiSoft next week. Meanwhile, what about the movie? O'Malley fielded a few questions about the film, but unfortunately didn't reveal much new info at all. He confirmed that Knives Chau's father is not in the film, that Lisa Miller isn't in the...

Edgar Wright’s live-action adaption of “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World” will have Ramona Flowers’ “+2 Against Girls” Hammer, Scott’s band Sex Bob-Omb, and even their rivals The Clash at Demonhead, but the film will part ways with creator Bryan Lee O’Malley’s original comics scripts for its ending. With “Scott Pilgrim Volume 5: Scott Pilgrim vs The Universe” still relatively new to shelves this year, no one but O’Malley knows what lies in store for his cast in Volume 6 of his Oni Press series — and according to him, the film won’t introduce spoilers from the climactic volume of his readers.
“None of Vol. 6 is in the movie,” O’Malley said today on his Twitter feed. “Note that I haven’t finished writing it yet, but they’re already making a movie. Their ending is their ending.”
The writer and artist praised this direction for the film,...

As Noel proves on a weekly basis in Popless, your life history is inextricably tied to your aesthetic judgments. So it's with some trepidation that we revisit the art, literature, and pop culture that we loved years ago. Will that sitcom that was a weekly source of delight back in the days of Aum Shinrikyo, Jacques Chirac, and Christopher Reeve falling off a horse not thirty miles from my apartment still seem as funny and inventive today? Or was it all just the pre-marriage, mid-grad school, Contract With America haze? I'll be investigating that question with this summer's examination of Newsradio, one of my favorite television shows of all time. I can't pretend to be an unbiased inquirer, though -- I'm entering the project ready to laugh and love with America's never-cracked-the-Nielsen-top-25 sweethearts, Dave Nelson and Lisa Miller, and I'm likely to...
