Suits is one of the best legal dramas that actually managed to make the profession of lawyer cool again. The USA Network series follows Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who has a photographic memory and joins Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) at a prestigious law firm. The only problem with that is Mike didn’t actually go to law school and he doesn’t have a degree about which he has to lie to everyone. Suits ran for 9 brilliant seasons and ended its run around three years ago in 2019. So, if you are a Suits fan and miss the series here are some brilliant shows like Suits you can watch.

The made-for-tv movie was a programming staple for the broadcast networks in the 1970s and 1980s. While it fell out of favor in the 1990s and was even dropped as an Emmy Awards category for three years beginning in 2011, it has been on an upswing as of late. This year, a whopping 61 telefilms are in contention for the five nominations that will be revealed on July 12. Last year, there were only 48 options, compared to 41 in 2021 and 28 in 2020.
All 20,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 26 to cast their 2023 Emmy Awards nominations ballots for their favorite TV movies. A new rule change will require each voter to make no more than five selections in this category, whereas there was previously no limit. As opposed to the Oscars, voters for the Emmys do not rank their choices and nominees are determined by a simple tally.

Created by Bryan Fuller, "Pushing Daisies"followed Ned the Pie-Maker (Lee Pace), who had the seemingly magical power to resurrect the dead with a touch. His ability came with rules. One, Ned couldn't touch anyone he brought back to life or they would die again, permanently. Second, if Ned doesn't "re-dead" someone within 60 seconds, then someone else's life will be taken in an equivalent exchange.
Ned uses his ability to assist sardonic private investigator Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) in solving murder cases. Thanks to Ned, Emerson is able to interview the victims. The pilot's ("Pie-Lette") case of the week features Ned's childhood crush Charlotte "Chuck" Charles (Anna Friel) as the murdered party. Ned can't bear to "re-dead" her, but now the two have to make their relationship work even though they can't touch each other.
During its brief life from 2007 to 2009, "Pushing Daisies" was one of the most unique television shows on the air.

It has been 26 years since “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America” hit theaters, and 11 have gone by since the eighth season of “Beavis and Butt-Head” aired on MTV. But nothing is ever truly dead in the age of streaming, and Mike Judge’s slacker cartoon characters are about to come back in a big way.
In addition to the planned revival of the television series, which has already been given a two-season order, Paramount+ is gearing up to release a second movie, “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe.” The film was written, directed, and produced by Judge, who also voices the eponymous characters. While the initial film was a road trip comedy that spanned the United States of America, Judge’s sequel has even bigger aims, taking the characters to outer space and beyond.

Two of television’s most iconic idiots are back. “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe,” a new animated feature film starring the ’90s MTV characters, is set to premiere on Paramount+ June 23.
The news was announced alongside the release of the official trailer for the film (see below), which sees Beavis and Butt-Head (both voiced by creator Mike Judge), on a space mission with NASA in 1998 (the year after the original series ended) and winding up in the year 2022. As the Nsa and the U.S. government track them down, the two struggle to adjust to modern life, while retaining their childish sense of humor.
Originally created by Judge for the MTV animated anthology series “Liquid Television,” Beavis and Butt-Head are two teenage slackers who share an extreme libido and complete inability to attract women. The characters proved popular enough to launch their own spinoff series, which ran for 200 episodes across seven seasons.

Sophia Bush’s “Good Sam” and Pete Holmes’ “How We Roll” have been canceled after just one season each at CBS, Variety has learned.
“Good Sam” was a medical drama that follows Dr. Sam Griffith (Bush), a gifted heart surgeon who excels in her new leadership role as chief of surgery after her renowned boss falls into a coma. When her former boss wakes up months later demanding to resume his duties, Sam is tasked with supervising this egotistical expert with a scalpel who never acknowledged her stellar talent. Complicating matters, the caustic and arrogant Dr. Rob “Griff” Griffith (Jason Isaacs) also happens to be her father. David Hollander will no longer be an executive producer on the CBS comedy series “How We Roll,” Variety has confirmed with sources.

If CBS comedy series How We Roll is renewed for a second season, it will return without executive producer David Hollander. Production on the Pete Holmes sitcom’s freshman season has been completed but if the series gets renewed for Season 2, Hollander won’t be involved, the network and How We Roll producer CBS Studios said in a response to an inquiry by Deadline.
As Deadline reported Saturday, Hollander, the developer, director, executive producer and showrunner of the upcoming Showtime series American Gigolo, produced by sibling Paramount Television Studios, was let go from the reboot of the popular 1980 movie after an investigation into allegations of misconduct. Underscoring the seriousness of the claims, both Showtime and Paramount TV Studios severed ties with the veteran showrunner.
“David Hollander is no longer on the drama series American Gigolo and Paramount Television Studios no longer has a producing relationship with him,” a spokesperson told Deadline in a statement Saturday.

Tahj Mowry will star in the upcoming Disney Plus series “The Muppets Mayhem,” Variety has learned exclusively.
Mowry joins previously announced cast member Lilly Singh in the series, which was first announced in March. The live-action show follows The Electric Mayhem Band — consisting of Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, Floyd Pepper on vocals and bass, Janice on vocals and lead guitar, Zoot on saxophone, and Lips on trumpet — as they record their first album ever.
Mowry will star as Gary “Moog” Moogowski. Described as a lovably awkward die-hard superfan of the band, he loyally follows them from gig to gig. Moog is an avid audiophile who knows his way around a mixing board. Since he is a walking encyclopedia of the band, he’s often able to offer advice or guidance to Nora (Lilly Singh) when she’s having trouble wrangling, communicating with or even understanding them.

How We Roll‘s Tom Smallwood (Pete Holmes) was born to bowl. “When you came out of the womb, I bet 10 doctors fell down,” proclaims Archie (Chi McBride), owner of the local alley — and after being fired from his auto factory job, Tom could use the boost as he considers pursuing his pipe dream: a spot on the pro tour. “It’s a universal theme — take a chance on something that’s risky but is actually your passion,” says Holmes of his new comedy’s winning formula. “It’s even more relevant now than ever.” (Credit: Cliff Lipson/CBS) Scoring big will be a team effort. Tom gets support from his hairstylist wife, Jen; their tap-dancing son, Sam (Mason Wells); Tom’s overprotective mom, Helen (Julie White); and sometimes coach Archie. “Our show has an underlying positivity, like Ted Lasso,” Holmes says. “And in the way Ted Lasso takes no cheap shots at soccer,...

Pete Holmes is a fairly cerebral comic, a presence whose jokes consistently feel carefully thought through. His recent HBO sitcom “Crashing,” which ended in 2019, took a subject that is easy to lampoon — a comedian’s quest for recognition and success — and took it seriously, treating it with real sensitivity.
There’s something particularly dispiriting, then, about “How We Roll,” a new sitcom starring Holmes that’s lacking any semblance of his voice or his wit. Indeed, “How We Roll,” based on the life of the professional bowler Tom Smallwood, can feel at times like a satirical device from “Crashing,” a sitcom Holmes’ character might have tried to appear on only to learn a valuable lesson from not booking it. In our reality, though, “How We Roll” simply adds up to a waste of a lot of very talented people’s energy.

If last week’s This Is Us gave us the barest outline of what Randall’s mother was up to in the years after his birth, this week’s episode fills out the details of Laurel’s story in heartbreaking color.
Most of the hour, titled “Birth Mother,” consists of Hai telling Laurel’s story while Randall and Beth listen. Nearly all of the action takes place in New Orleans, where the Pearsons — as promised — travel in order to hear from the man who says he can explain why Randall never learned that his biological mother had survived the overdose he’d thought killed her.

In the fall of 2010, Peter M. Lenkov took a big gamble, re-envisioning a well-remembered police procedural from the past for new generations.
It was a bet that paid off big time as Hawaii Five-0 said "Aloha" after 10 seasons on Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 Episode 22.
Reboots are a tricky business as creators are messing with viewers' sense of nostalgia.
Five-0 is undoubtedly the most successful reboot. Other top-notch efforts include One Day at a Time, Battlestar Galactica, Charmed, Roswell, Dynasty, and Lost in Space.
Consigned to the scraphead of history are such messes as Charlie's Angels and Bionic Woman.
Lenkov, previously known as executive producer of CSI: New York and 24, made all the right moves with this reboot.
He kept the gorgeous scenery of Hawaii as the backdrop for exciting action sequences.
He kept the iconic theme song, one of the two best themes in TV history.

It's the end of an era.
Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 Episode 22 serves as the series finale of the iconic CBS series, and while many fans may not be ready to say goodbye, it looks like the series is going out in style.
Appropriately titled "Aloha," the milestone episode finds Danny worse for wear after being abducted and left for dead.
Would CBS really allow the series to conclude with Danny dying? It would be quite the twist, but this is the series finale.
What we do know is that recurring cast members James Marsters (Victor Hesse), William Sadler (John McGarrett), and Mark Dacascos (Wo Fat) return during the goodbye episode.
Many fans have been worried that the series will not get a conclusive goodbye because of how late the decision to end the series came.
But it's hard to imagine a 10-year-old series wrapping without a big farewell planned.
Here's the official press release from CBS.

Many fans have been worried that the series will not get a conclusive goodbye because of how late the decision to end the series came.
But it's hard to imagine a 10-year-old series wrapping without a big farewell planned.
Here's the official press release from CBS.
