There’s no Superman in the picture, but some of the core cast of Scrubs recently got together for a little pizza party. It may not be the reunion that fans want, but it’s still pretty cool seeing J.D., Elliot, the Janitor, and more are still close.
In an Instagram post, Chris Miller (Jordan Sullivan) shared the reunion pic along with a caption that read, “Impromptu pizza party with my Scrubs”. Those Scrubs were: series lead Zach Braff (J.D. Dorian), Sarah Chalke (Elliot Reid) and John C. McGinley (Janitor). They were also joined by Amanda Kloots, host of The Talk.

A Scrubs movie isn’t a matter of if, but when, according to creator Bill Lawrence, who believes a feature-length continuation of the 2000s TV comedy is “inevitable.” “In the greatest way, the cast of that show and the writers are so good that they’re all working,” Lawrence told Variety in a recent interview. “And the main reason to do something like that isn’t the work, it’s because we actually love hanging out.” As for a potential Scrubs movie, Lawrence said, “I think it’s inevitable that it happens. The joke of it with us is the first time that six months go by that we don’t hang out, we’ll end up doing a Scrubs reunion.” Scrubs, which aired seven seasons on NBC and two on ABC, starred Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison, Ken Jenkins, John C. “Scrubs” stars Donald Faison and Zach Braff are going back to Sacred Heart, launching a “Scrubs”-themed podcast on Tuesday.
The podcast, which is titled “Fake Doctors, Real Friends,” offers a behind-the-scenes commentary on each episode and memories from the medical comedy, which ran for seven seasons on NBC and an additional two more on ABC. Hosted by iHeartRadio, the podcast will also feature commentary from “Scrubs” superfans and former cast members, so here’s hoping we get a few new nicknames for J.D. from Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley).
The first episode, which is available now, is 74 minutes long, or more than 3x the length of a typical “Scrubs” episode (without commercials). This first installment discusses filming in an abandoned hospital that was used for the location of the fictional Sacred Heart.

Healthcare officials are encouraging everyone to practice “social distancing” as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread. But if you don’t actually know what that means — and we promise not to tell anyone if you don’t — that’s Ok, because a classic clip from “Scrubs” that has recently gone (excuse the pun) viral is here to help.
In the clip above — which is from “My Cabbage,” a Season 5 episode of the now-ended medical comedy starring Zach Braff — Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) explains to the Janitor (Neil Flynn) how quickly infection can spread as we watch a series of seemingly innocent events occur in succession, all starting with a kid’s sneeze.
“Infection can start with a simple sneeze,” Kelso begins his narration, which illustrates the movement of germs from person to person using a glowing green hand/arm. “And then a handshake. Perhaps an accidental collision. Then a simple touch on the shoulder.

John Sayles’ coal strike epic is grand American filmmaking bolstered by fine Haskell Wexler cinematography, great performances by dedicated actors, and a screenplay that avoids the common pitfalls of liberal filmmaking — by assuming the structure of an action Western. Filmed on a shoestring not far from the site of historical events, the pro- Union picture revs up viewer emotions, winding up as a moving, satisfying experience. Matewan’s been out of circulation far too long, but those that remember it will give it a high recommendation.

It's the ultimate Scrubs reunion! A few members of the cast, namely BFFs Zach Braff and Donald Faison, have reunited privately over the years since the hit medical comedy series ended its nine-season run in 2010. On Saturday, all the main stars got together publicly for the first time since the finale, at the 2018 Vulture Festival in Los Angeles. The guests included Braff (J.D.), Faison (Turk), Sarah Chalke (Elliott), John C. It’s been almost nine years since Scrubs aired its finale episode on ABC, following a run that began at NBC way back in 2001. So when the all-star cast reconvened at Vulture Festival in Los Angeles on Saturday, the big question was, would they ever do a reboot?
The answer turned out to be both yes and no, with a negative for a TV revisit, but a ‘maybe’ for a film.
“I would do anything to not only get to work with not only this group, but the writers, and do it again,” creator Bill Lawrence said. “It was the best time in my life…you can never equal that experience. But that said, sometimes reboots, not all the time, but sometimes, they feel like a money grab.”
So while Lawrence isn’t keen on going down that road, he did concede there are some–somewhat unlikely–circumstances that might twist his arm.

Cougar Town Season 5, Episode 5 “Hard On Me”
Written by Mary Fitzgerald
Directed by John Putch
Airs Tuesday nights at 10pm Et on TBS
There aren’t many recurring characters who bring as much gravitas to a comedy as Ken Jenkins does on Cougar Town. Anytime Chick Cobb shows up in town, Cougar Town morphs from a slapstick comedy about 40-somethings into something more existential, using the established father/daughter relationship to explore some of the more difficult, unanswered questions we face as we head into the middle portion of our lives. “Hard On Me” is no exception: even when it’s not focused on Chick and his Alzheimer’s, death (in the form of an infected Ellie) hangs over the entire episode, a symbolic reminder of life’s cruelest inevitability whenever Chick isn’t on-screen.
As expected, Chick’s presence yanks the attention away from anything else going on this season,...

When Travis ran away to Hawaii on "Cougar Town" (Tue., 8:30 p.m. Et on ABC), he ran into Ted Buckland (Sam Lloyd) from "Scrubs." It was the same actor and the same character across the two Bill Lawrence shows, but Lloyd wasn't the only returning "Scrubs" alumnus in attendance at this week's "Cougar Town," though he was the only character.
Ted and his a cappella group showed up in Florida for a competition, bunking at Jules' place for a while. There he saw Ellie (Christa Miller) -- who looks a lot like Jordan Sullivan from his old job -- sitting next to Bobby's new girlfriend, played by Sarah Chalke -- who of course looks identical to Dr. Elliot Reid.
Suddenly, Ted started freaking out realizing that they women here looked like women he knew there, and then they started picking up their mannerisms. Suddenly, Ken Jenkins dropped in to...

No, "Cougar Town" is not just "Scrubs" in Florida with lots of wine. But the "Scrubs" reunion on Tuesday night's (March 13) episode was a lot, plus it's a shout-out to the "other" title this episode.
So Bobby has his first date with Angie, Travis' photography professor. Jules, in typical beast control mode (with her heart in the right place), tries to plan it all out perfectly, but naturally Bobby biffs at every turn. We aren't sure we've seen a worst first date on TV - dead manatees really iced that cake.
But in the end, a romantic moment is achieved and Bobby gets to kiss Angie - which is the way he reels a woman in, as he's the best kisser Jules has ever been with. Poor no. 7 Grayson.

But where are Dr. Cox, Turk and Carla and The Janitor? They will be the only "Scrubs" regulars missing on Tuesday's "Cougar Town," which features a reunion of "Scrubs" cast members. "Scrubs" and "Cougar Town" creator Bill Lawrence's real-life wife (and "Scrubs" alum) Christa Miller already plays "Cougar Town" regular Ellie, while "Scrubs" alums Sarah Chalke and Ken Jenkins have appeared as Bobby's new love interest, Angie, and Jules' dad, Chick. "Cougar Town" is staging a "Scrubs" reunion on the cul-de-sac in next Tuesday's episode, titled "A One Story Town." Not only is Sarah Chalke back as Bobby's new love interest, but Ken Jenkins is there as Jules' dad, the Peons are there are on their way to sing at Disney World and Robert Maschio and Zach Braff are also guest starring in heretofore unknown roles.
We cannot wait to see it. To whet your appetite, ABC made these preview clips available - we've got the Peons singing, the group schemes to help Bobby's romantic life and poor Ted is hilariously haunted by his former "Scrubs" cohorts.
We can't wait to find out what The Todd and Jd's roles are on the show. "Cougar Town" airs Tuesday nights at 8:30 p.m. Et/Pt on ABC.

Cougar Town is about to be invaded by a whole lotta Scrubs alumni, and we’ve got your first look at the gang (minus Zach Braff) reunited on the cul-de-sac.
Sarah Chalke is already in the midst of her arc as Bobby’s gal pal when the big episode, titled “A One Story Town,” airs March 13. In it, Ken Jenkins reprises his role of Jules’ dad, Sam Lloyd’s Ted passes through town with his musical group, The Peons, and Robert “The Todd” Maschio drops by as… The Todd?! (See the green cut-off shirt and flamed bandana-looking thing for proof.

Get ready, "Scrubs" fans. Some familiar faces are stopping by the "Cougar Town" cul-de-sac. In the Tuesday, March 13 episode, Jules and the gang laugh operation "kiss-the-girl" to help Bobby romance Angie (guest star Sarah Chalke).
And she's not the only "Scrubs" cast member making an appearance. The Peons are passing through on their way to an audition at Disney World, while The Todd (Robert Maschio) is also at Jules' house - for what reason, we don't know. Zach Braff is also said to be stopping by, though we don't have any photographic proof yet, and Ken Jenkins, who plays Jules' father, will also appear.
We don't actually care in what capacity Braff and Maschio are dropping by - we loved us some "Scrubs," so this should be a lot of fun. We kind of wish Sarah Chalke could stick around as a love interest for Bobby - he certainly needs...

Cougar Town is now two-for-two on season three.
None of the gags on "A Mind with a Heart of its Own" would have seemed particularly funny on paper, and yet every single one worked here on many different levels. Seriously, metaphorical zip lines, dead horses, murder portraits and a “thanks babe” might not come across as humorous (or logical) yet the sitcom delivered in spades. Even the title card comes through every time now.
Why? Like I said last week, this show is a downright science at this point. The writers just know the characters so well.
Because we’re invested, we know we like crazy what-what’s from Laurie; we know Andy and Bobby still love each other; and Jules and Ellie, no matter how different and far apart they seem, they still love and get each other, too. Ellie wouldn’t step out for a hug or be...

Cheyenne Jackson and Ken Jenkins have joined Nathan Lane in the USA comedy pilot "The Untitled Douglas McGrath Project," which probably won't have that name forever. Jenkins ("Scrubs") will play the father, while Jackson ("Glee," "30 Rock") will play a handsome doctor who befriends the main character. Exclusive: Cheyenne Jackson (Glee, 30 Rock) and Scrubs alum Ken Jenkins are set to co-star opposite Nathan Lane in USA’s untitled Douglas McGrath comedy pilot. McGrath and Lane are executive producing for Universal Cable Prods. “It was a tremendous casting session,” USA’s Svp original scripted programming Bill McGoldrick said. “It is rare that you pick 2 people in the first casting session, and the runner-ups were very strong too.” This is one of 2 comedy pilots USA recently greenlit as part of its foray into half-hours. When Bill Lawrence was running "Scrubs," he had a bunch of actors from his previous show, "Spin City," appear as guest stars. Now that he's moved on to "Cougar Town," he's continued the cycle by having several former "Scrubs" stars do guest roles.
That list is about to grow: "Scrubs" star Zach Braff and semi-regular Robert Maschio, aka The Todd, are set to appear on "Cougar Town" this season. But that's not all: The episode in which they're guest-starring, TVLine reports, will be a full-blown "Scrubs" reunion that also features Sarah Chalke, Ken Jenkins and Sam Lloyd, in addition to "Ct" regular Christa Miller.
As previously reported, Chalke will have a recurring part on the show as Bobby's (Brian Van Holt) new girlfriend. Jenkins is reprising his role as Jules' (Courteney Cox) father, and Lloyd will continue his "Scrubs"-world crossover as Ted. Just who Braff and Maschio will be...

It was only a matter of time before Sarah Chalke made her way on to the set of Cougar Town. Having starred in the Bill Lawrence created Scrubs for eight years; it makes sense that Lawrence would use her in his newest series. Chalke should feel right at home among series stars Courtney Cox and Christa Miller, both of whom appeared on Scrubs (Miller also happens to be Lawrence’s real life wife). Now what exactly will Chalke be doing once she arrives in Cougar Town?
According to TVLine, Chalke plays a photography professor at Travis’ (Dan Byrd) college whose name is Angie. She’ll appear in multiple episodes as a love interest for Bobby (Brian Van Holt). Angie is described as being of natural beauty and has a cool vibe. She’ll meet Bobby through Travis, and fingers crossed that Travis doesn’t have a weird student crush on her.
