Enter the fast and turbulent world of underground crime in the new trailer from the Netflix original series The Gentlemen. The new show is inspired by Guy Ritchie‘s film of the same name. The trailer sees an unsuspecting chap get in over his head as he unintentionally becomes involved with his family’s drug dealings. This new peek at the series showcases the signature aggressive manic style of Guy Ritchie’s gangster films. Ritchie himself is wearing multiple hats behind the scenes as the creator, writer, and executive producer. He has also directed the first two episodes of the series. The show was also previously known to premiere sometime next month, but we now have a release date as Netflix announced the premiere will be on March 7.
The official logline from Netflix reads,
“The Gentlemen sees Eddie Horniman (Theo James) unexpectedly inherit his father’s sizable country estate – only...

Ruth Madoc, star of sitcom Hi-de-Hi!, has died, aged 79.
The news was confirmed by her agent days after the actor went to hospital for surgery following a fall earlier this week.
Phil Belfield, from talent agency Belfield & Ward Ltd, said: “It is with much sadness that we have to announce the death of our dear and much loved client Ruth Madoc.”
He hailed Madoc as “one of a kind and a unique talent loved by many”, and described her as a “real legend of the British entertainment scene”.
Madoc was best known for playing Gladys Pugh in the BBC comedy sitcom Hi-de-Hi!, for which she received a BAFTA TV award nomination for Best Light Entertainment Performance.
She appeared in the show, which was set in the fictional 50s-type holiday camp Maplins, from 1980 to 1988. More recently, she appeared in the Matt Lucas and David Walliams sitcom Little Britain, playing the mother...

A suspicious pattern emerges when Election Day nears in the United States. Leaders of the competing political parties begin a begging campaign, urging Black voters to head to the polls and cast their ballots for candidates often largely uninterested in their needs. These officials appeal to the morality of the historically disenfranchised masses, insisting that a nation that does not normally care about them can’t save itself without their votes. The disingenuous performance drains the sincerity from efforts to get out the vote, makes it too easy to take for granted the long, winding history of the Black suffrage movement and obfuscates existing barriers to real freedom.
Lowndes County and the Road to Black Power, a powerful and intimate new documentary by Sam Pollard (MLK/FBI) and Geeta Gandbhir (I Am Evidence), is a timely reminder of the legacy of voting rights in the U.

This week on NCIS: Los Angeles, as Callen and Sam raced to Egypt to get a bead on kidnapped colleague Fatima Namazi, they required an assist from Vostanik Sabatino. For loyal viewers of the CBS procedural, the moment was loaded with highly entertaining meaning, given the team’s previous interactions with the CIA officer (played by ER alum Erik Palladino).
The previous episode similarly brought back Bar Paly as the always enigmatic Anna Kolcheck — another reliable player that is intermittently called off of NCIS: La‘s deep, well-established bench.

Fans of the Jtu (Jag Television Universe) recently came closer than they know to having Harm and Mack back on their screens. The faithful should not, however, give up hope of seeing the Jag leads resurface on one of CBS’ NCIS series.

There's a new Star Wars audiobook coming out called From a Certain Point of View, which will tell 40 stories from 40 different authors. The stories will focus on several different characters throughout the Star Wars universe including X-wing pilots, droid-hunting stormtroopers, and even some of the background characters from Star Wars: A New Hope.
One of these stories focuses on Boba Fett. The story is called "Added Muscle" and the story is written from Boba Fett's perspective. The story was written by Paul Dini (Batman: The Animated Series), and Jon Hamm (Mad Men) has been cast in the role of Boba Fett! Great casting and it will be fun to hear him voice this legendary Star Wars character. Do you think Hamm is a good choice? Would you like to see him play a version of the character in a movie?

Hello, fellow NCIS fans, and welcome to the post-Tony Dinozzo era! I will be your reviewer this season, and I'm happy to be here! And I'm also happy to say that NCIS Season 14 Episode 1 did not disappoint me at all.
Plus, there were some nostalgic treats for long-time fans like me! So hang on to your hats, because here we go!
The cold open focusing on WIlmer Valderrama's Agent Nick Torres was interesting; we're used to seeing happy people going along and then having tragedy strike (as happened shortly thereafter with the Campbells), but here Torres, aka Miguel, quite neatly turned the hit attempt right back on the goon.
It quickly established Torres as a smart, skilled man with excellent situational awareness and a rather impressive physicality that reminded me of Ziva David's combat skills. His takedown of the two goons after he arrived in D.C. reinforced that assessment.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a movie that a lot of people like an awful lot. Myself included. But one thing that it didn’t do was fully explain what happened between George Lucas’ Return Of The Jedi and Jj Abrams' 30-years-later continuation of the Star Wars cinematic saga.

With familiar faces from the past, dramatic endings and hints of the future, "Damned If You Do," closed out the 10th season of "NCIS" Tuesday (May 14). It also showed why this series just keeps on going -- it reveres its past while not being afraid to blow things up.
The episode opens with a dream sequence in which Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is fishing with his late mentor, Mike Franks (Muse Watson, proving once again that death is no impediment to ongoing guest appearances). After some talk about the inadequacies of catch-and-release fishing, Franks pumps gunshots into the water. He vanishes, but Gibbs soon finds himself surrounded by floating bodies that just keep rising to the surface.

You know you’re sending your cast through the ringer when it’s necessary to bring back a character from a television show that has not aired since 2005 in order to bail them out. NCIS will be looking toward Jag, the series it originally spun off of, for help during its Season 10 finale, which will, according to Ep Gary Glasberg, change everything for the NCIS team. So which former Jag star will be brought out of retirement? We have about seven to choose from. Could it be Harm, the original series’ lead? Or perhaps it’ll be Mac. Actually, it will be neither of those two. NCIS is welcoming back Judge Advocate General A.J. Chegwidden!
John M. Jackson played Chegwidden for nine seasons before leaving the series in 2004, before it’s final year. That was nearly a decade ago, so what has the character been up to since then?...

General Hospital makes its move to its new timeslot on Monday, September 10, as the mass poisoning of Port Charles residents continues to take its toll. The time change is ushered in with plenty of action, stunts and location shooting.
Über-villain Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roché) has introduced a pathogen into the water supply and almost everyone in the city is poisoned. For a unique ransom, Jerry will deliver an antiserum within forty-eight hours before the entire city dies.
In an attempt to save the city (and himself) Todd bands together Port Charles’s wealthiest citizens to put up the $88+million dollar ransom. Todd (Roger Howarth), Sonny (Maurice Benard), Jax (Ingo Rademacher), Carly (Laura Wright) and Johnny (Brandon Barash) all gather at the docks to meet Jerry and pay the ransom. The odd alliance intentionally avoids telling the police about the plan so that Jerry’s “no cops” rule is enforced.

After the success of webseries Becoming Human (which attracted 1.5 million hits online), BBC3 were encouraged to stitch the eight episodes together into one 50-minute special that aired last night — premiering the story’s conclusion in the process. But I’m sure this was the Beeb’s intention from the start, considering the production standards of the webisodes, and its clear intention to become a full-blooded TV spin-off to Being Human.
Becoming Human has largely the same premise as its parent series, only with adolescent characters and a few gender swaps. If Being Human’s high-concept logline was “a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost share a house together”, Becoming Human wonders what would happen if a vampire, a werewolf and ghost went to school together. Continuing the story of Adam (Craig Roberts) from Being Human’s “Adam’s Family”, the 46-year-old vampire trapped in the body of a 17-year-old enrolls...

Today marks the DVD release of the penultimate season of Jag (that's Judge Advocate General, for the uninitiated). For ten seasons, CBS chronicled the impeccably styled David James Elliott, Catherine Bell, Patrick Labyorteaux, John M. Jackson, Karri Turner as they loved, argued, pined, and applied the stipulations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and international law. Canceled in 2005, it is the only television show thus far to have been officially endorsed by the Department of Defense, the United States Navy, and the United States Marine Corps. As a tribute to this fallen hero, we studied the Spring 2010 runways for signs of its influence. Below, some looks from Alexander Wang, Loewe, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Rag & Bone suitable for conducting a court-martial.
